Doesn't really matter what people call themselves, what matters is how they actually vote.

Came here to say this. They’re embarrassed to admit it, but are okay casting a secret ballot for fascism.

They'll be happy to do it again once these absolute horror show nazis are out of office. It's temporary embarrassment, they aren't capable of change. Same as Bush Jr.

In years to come many will disavow ever voting for Trump and they'll bad mouth him along with everyone else. Maga congress is going to lose big and they won't be able to block the many upcoming congressional investigations. Without their cover Trump's many criminal acts will finally be revealed and he'll rightfully be viewed as the worst president of all time.

I don't think so. He'll be normalized and basically end up being treated as a more eccentric Reagan. He is an embarrassment to the political class, but they couldn't stop him. Instead of admitting that their failiures led to all this, everything will be swept under the rug in the same way undesirable relatives are stashed away when the new in-laws are visiting.

Normally we would agree but not on this. Trump and his loyalists have taken everything and all of us to the extreme. It was bad enough when he started snatching people off the streets but once it became overtly racial he was done. Add in our buying power is decreasing while their wealth is increasing and we see a deep seeded growing dissatisfaction that can't be overlooked. Then there's all these new shooting wars we're entering into after just coming out of twenty years of wars everyone grew so weary of. That never goes well. Trump will be made an example to help stop these insanities from happening for a long while. Whether he's alive or not doesn't matter because he'll be central to all the upcoming prosecutions of his loyalists, enablers and many others who did his illegal biddings.

You miss one crucial point though. If he wins the war and rebounds the economy he will be forgiven for everything including the prettigood incidents

Not happening given everything else he's done. America is sliding down under his direct control and everyone is living it every day in the grocery lines. As for "winning the war" that's impossible. Trump has no clear plan, he's floundering in decision making and he let's his dementia get in his way. He's flat out failing like he always has because he's just a showman. The majority see it now so he's done by his own actions.

Well. When all bad men get together to create a gameplan to f*** over the world and rule it together... it can be accomplished if they remain steadfast

Consider history teaches us otherwise. In a manner of speaking we're literally reliving "Let them eat cake" and that attitude is having the same disastrous result. Trump, his loyalists and their oligarch "donors" pay big money fpr propagandists to convince us we're powerless. We see how that's not working given the growing public objection against them. We're getting there and the midterms are already proving it. They wouldn't keep trying so hard to rig that action if we weren't.

Is it because being Republican = being: A rapist A child rapist A felon A grifter A snob A racist A moron A POS A cheat A liar A fake A pedophile Etc. list goes on. All negative. Because that’s what Republicans are.

Yep, I just saw data on this that showed a five point swing towards "democrat leaning" voters since Trump entered office. Trump only has himself to thank for this. He's lost the gains he made with voters in 2024 and then some. In fact, since the 2024 elections Dems have flipped at least two dozen seats, Republicans have flipped ZERO. Meanwhile, Trump's disapproval ratings are currently higher than any other president's during this point in their term. However, because some Republicans are abandoning Trump, we're also seeing more Republicans identifying as "MAGA." Trump supporters, the mindlessly devoted flock they they are, see this as a win while every other piece of data shows that Trump is losing support from the American people. They're so madly in love with Trump that they're blind to the fact that their movement is slowly deteriorating.
