Figure out what movie this came from?

Posted by Excellent_Seesaw_566

I’m not a big one for quoting movies, but it dawned on me that I do use, “You a funny, funny man,” in my daily life. For the life of me I can’t figure out what movie it’s from. It was a woman saying the line, and kinda with an accent of some sort? It’s probably from a ninety’s rom com, knowing my tastes. That’s all I got. Help!

Funny how? Funny like a clown? I amuse you?

In Miss Congeniality there's a line “You think you're funny, don’t you?” “You’re a funny, funny woman.”

For some reason I first thought of Short Round in Temple of Doom. I guess I’ll have to watch today to verify for myself

Any Indiana Jones movie is always worth watching, but Short Round doesn't say anything like that.

Not the same as "You a funny, funny man."

I'm pretty sure that's from Good Fellas, it was Joe Pesci's line.

I feel like it was Ray Liotta who said it to Joe Pesci, but I also immediately thought of Goodfellas. Although, I may just be misremembering from the 'funny how?' scene. So if it isn't from that scene it's not from Goodfellas... If I had to guess, it could be from any one of the other 'gangster' type films from that late 80s/early 90s era, featuring Liotta/Pesci/DeNero.

Might not be it but in Friends there's a bit where Rachel goes, "You're a funny guy, Chandler, you're a funny funny guy!" And another bit, where Rachel and Ross are having an argument and she goes, "you're a small man, you're a small, small man!" Maybe a mix of the two?

Ahh this is driving me mad too now that you've mentioned it! I can literally hear that exact line in my head with teh accent and everything but cant place it either Pretty sure its from something with Sandra Bullock or maybe Meg Ryan - thats the voice im hearing anyway. Could be Speed or While You Were Sleeping or one of those 90s classics? The way you described it with the accent makes me think it might be from a movie where someone's pretending to be from somewhere else or doing a fake accent Going to be refreshing IMDB quotes all night now trying to figure this out. These mystery movie lines are worse than having a song stuck in your head because at least with songs you can hum them to Shazam

I think it's Miss Congeniality.

You have that line spoken in Community S01E12 as well. "The Bully" (guest star) says it to Jeff. It's just a few minutes into the episode. Not a women though, and not a 90's sitcom. Wouldn't say an accent as well, except for standard American.

"You are a very smart man, Jerry! A very smart man! And a very funny, funny man!" Not a movie, Babu from Seinfeld.

My brain went to deniro. Maybe analyze this or one of those types. Guess it depends on the accent. I also picture shooter mcgavin in happy Gilmore making a similar comment to adam sandler when he asks “where’s your gold jacket?”

I hear that in Arnie's accent: "You're a funny man Sully, I like you. That's why I kill you last."

Maybe because I just watched it again recently but my brain went to Anthony Anderson in Romeo Must Die.

Is it Lois from Family Guy? “You’re very funny Lance. You’re a very handsome funny man”
