yeah i did read some of the things they will do. like at 9.5m and such, but I just wonder what they will do if nothing works. will they just abandon it all?

There was a referendum a few years back about immigration. It passed the government couldn’t figure out how to actually implement it and after a certain period it becomes a void referendum because there was no policy that could be agreed upon to make it happen.

Make mountaineering on week-ends with the whole family mandatory Alternative: send the overpopulation to live underground in caves (a lot of those there)

Think their domestic population is below replacement rate. A cap will mean less immigration being allowed.
