So did someone on the group rat her out.... or is Whatsapp's claim for chats being private/encrypted totally BS?

Probably both.

She posted “Netanyahu, if you can hear me, drop some ***bonbons*** for us Capstone students in Ocean Bank Convocation Center". A police officer claimed she said something else, probably something the person who ratted her out made up.

Actually, what got he in trouble was this post: "There is going to be a bomb in the Ocean Bank Convocation Center and it was going to be Jonathan's fault," specifically naming another student in the chat. Members of the chat group took it seriously and notified police.

Where does it say that was in the chat? **Read what you posted.** That is NOT a quote by her. It is something a police officer or an accuser said, but there is no record of it in the chat. A post would not say "it was..." past tense. This appears to be more about people falsely accusing someone and lying about what was said. If someone can show where in the chat she said that, I'll be happy to say I was wrong, but so far no one has.

In another article there is a picture of messages and the next one after the bonbons says "drop something with a B and ends with a B and has a O and M in it in ocean bank convention center". So idk if she did make a full out bomb threat, but there was more than just that one thing about bonbons.

When I talk I'm dropping bombs in my toilet we gonna arrest me too? Or only if I say "I'm gonna drop these bombs in house, like Netanyahu drops on other countries"  This is America and we have freedom of speech.  This is f****** absurd to defend.  It's not even people from OUR OWN COUNTRY. IT'S ANOTHER COUNTRIES LEADER.  This is insanity.

You’re mixing them both up she asked Netanyahu to do it, it’s obviously a joke but America’s “freedoms” are very strong, clearly.

And that was the real crime, implying Netanyahu does bad things.

That appears to be what another student said about her. Its not mentioned in any credible article. What is really sad is some other people posted about “Total negro death.” in the chat and nothing was done. Why do you think its is OK to post about that in Florida, but joke about Bonbons???

WhatsApp is owned by meta. Use signal or some other encrypted chat app that isn’t owned by a technofascist

Signal and Telegram are owned by techno fascists. Don't use them.

Telegram is compromised either way. Can I get more info on why you think signal is owned by a technofascist? Haven’t heard that and can’t find anything about it.

I've heard the same thing, but it's mostly just hand wavy shit. I'm also curious if there's any solid evidence.

What do you suggest to use?

Wasnt it like a 215-person group chat? That's like pouring water into a sieve and being mad there's a leak lol

It was a schoolwide group chat I think. It had hundreds of people from what I heard so probably a rat

Oddly enough, im pretty sure what she wrote is actually based on a TikTok meme where people shout/scream to Netanyahu to Bomb places or people that annoy them.

You don't joke about future bombings. Not in the airport, not in internet chat.

Do it out loud at open mics

There were 215 students in the whatsapp chat room where she said "There is going to be a bomb in the Ocean Bank Convocation Center" along with about a dozen other references to a bomb at a school event.

The woman threatened someone else in the group chat, and that person reported it to police.

I’m gonna need to see what she posted before I have any kind of judgement in all this.

One quote has been mentioned already. The other quote that was actually brought up in court: >“there is going to be a bomb in the Ocean Bank Convocation Center and it was going to be Jonathan’s fault,” https://panthernow.com/2026/04/20/fiu-student-arrested-after-asking-israeli-prime-minister-benjamin-netanyahu-to-bomb-fiu-in-a-whatsapp-group-chat/ I think the bonbon quote is ragebait and the mention of a bomb is what actually got her in trouble.

That was something someone else claimed was said with no evidence. “there is going to be a bomb in the Ocean Bank Convocation Center and **it was** going to be Jonathan’s fault,” Notice the past tense. She clearly did NOT post that exact sentence, and it was likely made up.

"your honor, my client was referring to leaving a bomb as a huge shit in their restroom, all because Jonathan fed her 18 chirros and 4 spicy burritos.  We spoke with the DAs office and have reached an agreement for a reduced plea of illegal hazardous waste dumping, 2 to 5 with parole"

Shocking, how could she post about killing some individuals? Wiping out civilization is the norm these days!

Kinda funny how world leaders can make *real* bomb threats with no consequences, but when some kid makes a joke about it — BAM... 15-year prison sentence.

The state monopoly on violence is an inherent contradiction in the way we currently organize society.

Equivalent-Battle973 Apr 22, 2026 +4
No way she actually gets convicted on that message.
4
Captain_Aware4503 Apr 22, 2026
The stories are all very biased, and none have an explanation, but a cop claimed he had heard somewhere that she said something else. This was likely something the person who made the complaint made up. It sucks that people can make stuff up like that, and that a very biased court might be able to get a conviction by pushing possibly fake quotes.

Equivalent-Battle973 Apr 22, 2026 -1
Even then that is most likely hearsay and I highly doubt they'll get a conviction of on that, but who knows, it is florida.

It's dangerous  to say that on Whatsapp....but on Truth social it's just a Easter Sunday night

The article left this out. She posted, “Netanyahu, if you can hear me, drop some ***bonbons*** for **us** Capstone students in Ocean Bank Convocation Center". A police officer then claimed she said something else that wasn't (according to other articles) in the chat. I hope she sues and wins.
