The Man Of Mars, he is in fact fused to the planet. It is part of him, and he is part of it.

Very very few shows are able to reach 5 or 6 seasons nowadays when there is an endless amount of entertainment. Any show that is able to reach that many seasons in this era can be proud of that feat.

Crazier problems all caused by a geriatric cyborg astronaut who refuses to die and refuses to let anyone else ever get any credit.

IIRC they had a story planned for 7 seasons. I hope they can somehow conclude it in a satisfying manner.

25 seasons of it culminating in being the best adaptation of The Last Question by Asimov

That would be an epic surprise ending, randomly becoming the origin story of another space-based sci-fi series.

Ed Baldwin’s body failed him years ago, but reached out, and reached out, and reached out…. And something answered him.

I'm curious what they'll do with another season as well.  I kinda figured this upcoming season would be the conclusion unless we are going to end up with the entire original cast being replaced or some SciFi aging hand waving will definitely need to happen. 

Season 6 ends with a jump scene to a woman, holding a baby in front of Ed's monument grave in Arlington National Cemetery in 2233 and she says "James, this is your 9th great grandfather who was one of the first astronauts from Earth" And fade to black

Apple tv has to make the last three seasons of The Expanse. If they can make Baldwin 80 years old they can age the Rocinante crew 30 or something years.

In the final shot they will encounter the Battlestar Galactica and William Adama.

> Bets on the show ending with First Contact? I wonder if the show will end with another time jump like every season or if they'll give it a definitive ending in the present. For me one of the best parts of the show are those final moments of the season where you see how far humanity have gone. I wouldn't mind at all if the show ends with the characters in the present followed by a final scene after a time jump of humanity making first contact, or going out beyond the solar system in search of it.

I’m expecting an Interstellar ending. Resolution for most of our characters, I’m sure Ed dies, but “the universe is vast, there’s so much more to explore” FIN

To be fair, the show kind of handwaves this, but most of their problems are fixed because they crack fusion offscreen in the 1980s. Dev Ayesa is a billionaire in the show because he did that. Even if the space race continued, the show is wildly optimistic about how that would look.

If anything, I hope it gives you a little bit of hope, as well. That there are still dreamers out there, who want what we could have had, but are still striving towards. I know it's difficult in today's world to be optimistic about anything, but it's not optimism that'll change the world. It's hope, and hard work. Hang in there, internet friend.

Then they extend to the asteroid belt, but tensions start to flare between the now distinct cultures on Mars, Earth, and the belt with the belt bristling against the yoke of foreign influence.

It started great but the cheese has gotten thick. I’ll still watch though. Maybe it’ll settle back in.

You should finish 4, the story gets pretty darn good near the end

Season 4 is def my least favorite but I’m hoping to find season 5 more enjoyable

You just gotta power through the incredibly unnecessary and unbelievable >!"wife cheating with son's best friend"!< storyline. Everything else is so good!

I remember the duct tape space walk pushed it for me. The consequences of the walk saved it though. I think it was the next season when we strapped a pregnant woman to the end of a rocket and tossed her into low orbit for extraction. That killed it for me. I watched a bit more after that and just couldn't. Fwiw those first seasons really had me. I highly recommend the show, just don't be afraid to punch out when they jump the shark for you (wherever it may be)

Don't worry too much about it. There's a certain thing that happens and people treat it like it was the "worst thing that was ever written for television ever™"! It would be like if every time someone brought up Breaking Bad every single comment was about Marie's shoplifting. Yeah, it wasn't the best decsision but it does have a payoff and doesn't kill the show, imho.

Mixed bag. I love the space stuff. The alternate history is fun. Some of the drama is silly.

Now that’s a show They can make an extra season or two of.
