The trailer itself is far more creative in scope and idea than what the title and poster let on. Scared of the eventual “Forgotten Island gets forgotten at the box office” if audiences pass on it cuz of its name/vibes

Ngl thought the last joke about “who let the dogs out” was just a random pop culture joke that had me rolling my eyes, but the catch that it was getting her to breathe and calm down doing the “Who” part is actually really clever.

Uh oh. Looks like Dreamworks is making Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind for friendship. Just in time to fundamentally alter the brain chemistry of all of our kids. I'm all in.

As a Filipino it's surreal seeing a huge animation studio tackle my culture, especially Liza Soberano who's a celebrity here being one of the main voices (for Americans, she's the stepsister in Lisa Frankenstein). Huge Filipino cast as well like H.E.R., Jo Koy, Dolly De Leon and the queen Lea Salonga herself. Really hope they pull this off well.

When did Dreamworks become Pixar and vice versa?

Given that this is a movie about female friendship there’s probably going to be people mad on both sides, one side mad if they’re not gay and the other side mad that it’s “woke” and not a “boy movie” like Last Wish. So hopefully this will find an audience that loves it for what it is. Happy to see another realistic depiction of a panic attack in an animated film tho

Given how they keep saying “friendship” I don’t think they’re going to be making it explicit, but these two a mad queer coded. This is definitely a film about a lesbian couple, even if on the surface it’s only a film about two best friends

This looks fantastic, I just hope the movie ends with the pair losing at least some of their memories.

Dreamworks has been on a roll with their recent movies so I'm super excited to see this movie. It looks absolutely beautiful and the concept is just perfect. Very hyped!!

I’m so tired of the trailer trend of a shitty simplified remix of a classic song that then dramatically slows down, and speeds up toward the end. Can’t really tell how good or bad the movie will be, but choosing such an on the nose song for an incredibly simple premise doesn’t give me much hope. Looks like Coco without the heart or cultural significance. I’ll hold out hope that it will actually tie more in to Filipino culture and turn out great.

Why does one of the main characters look a lot like the main girl in Hoppers when she’s a kid?

Uy Pilipinis! Btw Filipinos do not act like this. The two main characters are pretty Americanized so I when the line "you don't have to go to the US" was said I was amused.

Not to be a snitch or anything, but one of the crew members commented on [JJ Bersch's review of Hoppers](https://letterboxd.com/jjdotbiz/film/hoppers/) and says Dave Franco is better in Hoppers than their own upcoming Dreamworks film.

Anyone else roll their eyes and expect them to turn into animals/blobs after they fell through the portal. Pleasantly surprised it's not another Soul.

The voice acting seems off. It doesn't seem to match the animation. Is that just me? Maybe it's the sound quality. Maybe this is first pass audio. Well, we'll see.

The character designs are not my favorite 

This seems way too ambitious, passionate and high effort, how did this even get made? It's like someone who's really passionate about animation got carte blanche to make the movie they want. I'm afraid it won't do well at the box-office, but it will be praised by adult fans of animation who love Steven Universe and The Owl House. I hope I'm wrong and families latch onto it, but "the 90S" hasn't been 10 years ago for 20 years.
