seeing the foo fighters music video for pretender on TV and seeing this dude slam on the drums was the spark that lit my interest for drumming, this guys talent was incredible, and it shows knowing that Dave Grohl is very picky with what drummers he plays with. The news of Taylor's passing hit me as hard as when David Bowie died. He was such an essential part of the Foo Fighters sound and will live among the other great drummers who are no longer with us like Neil Peart and John Bonham.

Taylor was a huge part of the band. Nothing against the others but I knew it was over when he died.
I saw Nirvana when they were still relatively unknown and I'm glad I got to take my son to his first concert, the Foo fighters, while they were still in their prime.
Thanks fellas for all the memories.

The first show my Dad ever took me to when I was 12 years old was Nirvana. Six months later, Kurt was dead. The memories from that show are priceless.

It's awesome you have that memory.
I saw nirvana in Vancouver with the butthole surfers shortly before Kurt died but my favorite shows lately are the ones I see with my son.

But Here We Are is a great album and a cool homage to him and Dave's mother.

I remember seeing him play with Alanis and he was stole the spotlight. Absolute monster behind the kit. I had the pleasure of meeting him after the show. He used to date my then-girlfriend. I was kinda of intimidated meeting him but I think he was just as nervous meeting me. We hung out for the better part of the evening.
