As an Aussie, I have to say the timing on this is not ideal. Australia has literally two oil refineries, and having one damaged and operating well below capacity for the next few months is not going to help with fuel shortages.

This is why we need to be doing more self sufficient sovereign industry in Australia regardless of globalisation cost savings, utter madness that we didn’t learn from CoVID.
