Everyone is dunking on her because she’s done nudity in other roles but maybe she didn’t feel like doing nudity for 5 minutes of screen time and a small check.

Sad_Background2525 Mar 30, 2026 +58
No one here read the article, where she clarifies her stance very clearly. She even say she’s not against nudity.

RandomGuyOnDaNet90 Mar 30, 2026 -6
Nothing wrong with being against nudity in film.
-6
Sad_Background2525 Mar 30, 2026 +1
No one said there was. The actress in question clearly stated she was not against nudity in film though. She just didn’t want her first big offer to be flash her t*** and then get stabbed in the chest. Seems pretty reasonable.

andithinkurwrong Mar 30, 2026 +1
You’re only saying that because you’re against it and you’re defending yourself
1
andithinkurwrong Mar 30, 2026 +1
Nobody said it was? Tf

Lint6 Mar 30, 2026 +24
Theres also a huge difference between being naked in what probably would've been her first role, then doing nudity 14 years later as an established actress

Castrol-5w30 Mar 29, 2026 +134
Wasn't she in "Showgirls?"
134
Anand999 Mar 30, 2026 +14
I get it though. She would have been a 18-19 year old unknown actress at the time. That's a pretty different situation than the 30-something and fairly well known actress she was in Showgirls. Showgirls Gina probably had a lot more say in what she was willing to do in the role than Friday the 13th Gina would have.

Alert-Ad9197 Mar 30, 2026 +21
The article literally addresses why she felt differently about the two roles.
21
MeasurementNo0 Mar 29, 2026 +48
She also blew a piece of chicken in Killer Joe

sinfulfng Mar 29, 2026 +21
I know all of these words well, but I can’t quite get my brain to understand them all together
21
blackeyedcheese Mar 29, 2026 +7
Would it help to add that it was a drumstick and it was Matthew McConaughey holding it at his crotch level?
7
sinfulfng Mar 29, 2026 +18
I’m not kink shaming, I’m kink asking why
18
blareboy Mar 30, 2026 +4
He forces her. It’s an act of vengeful degradation. It’s a fucked up scene.
4
blackeyedcheese Mar 30, 2026 +5
From what I recall, McConaughey’s character was a corrupt cop doing corrupt cop things. He found out she had blew the guy that ran off with the money and made her recreate it with drum stick after he beat her up. Movie is Killer Joe, not sure if I’m remembering this right, haven’t seen the movie in years

One of few NC-17 films to receive a theatrical release in America. Also one of William Friedkin’s (director of The Exorcist and other classics) last films.

Hypothetical_Clarity Mar 29, 2026 +9
I would have blown a drumstick for Tracy Letts too

For just a glimpse of his dvd collection 🐔😋

She also shows off her bush in Killer Joe.
2
starcraash666 Mar 30, 2026 +2
Her full bush was the focus of the movie's opening!
2
Whydoialwaysdothis69 Mar 30, 2026 +1
You say that like it’s an insult.

KFC commercial outtake

PixelatedFrogDotGif Mar 30, 2026 +14
Maybe her choice was informed by that.
14
HurryAdorable1327 Mar 29, 2026 +20
Yes, but that was “empowering nudity”… way different!
20
cficare Mar 29, 2026 +11
That whole scene where 2 women talked about their mutual love for eating dog food as kids was also so empowering.
11
kfj3000 Mar 29, 2026 -2
I remember when I first saw Showgirls remarking that this movie really made me believe it was a big moment for womens rights.
-2
msv6221 Mar 29, 2026 +9
She was also in Bound
9
criterionhaver Mar 30, 2026 +8
What’s your point? That movie rocks.
8
Lint6 Mar 30, 2026 +1
Yes, 14 years later when she was in her 30s and could have better say over what she did
1
frame_limit Mar 30, 2026 +2
It’s in the first sentence of the article
2
jigga19 Mar 29, 2026 -1
Magnificently so

*Friday the 13th Part 2* is underrated. I think it’s on par with the fourth one
29
DaKingaDaNorth Mar 29, 2026 +22
Part 2 is generally considered one of the best along with 4 and 6
22
TacoTom84 Mar 29, 2026 +11
I really liked part 3
11
foxguy2021 Mar 30, 2026 +4
Three has the disco Friday the 13th theme and it rules.

Part 6 is my favorite, which I think says way too much about a person
2
QueezyF Mar 30, 2026 +1
Sidenote, I don’t recommend going as Jason from Part 2 for Halloween. I almost made that mistake one year until I realized what it could be confused for.
1
ImitatingADog Mar 29, 2026
I know and it’s **still** underrated
0
AggressiveRow4000 Mar 30, 2026 +2
Part IV is absolutely GOATed with Kid Tommy Jarvis.
2
dirkrunfast Mar 30, 2026 +1
I always liked 7
1
implicate Mar 30, 2026 +1
The word "underrated" has lost all meaning at this point.
1
tidder-la Mar 30, 2026 +4
And the world lost out.
4
Unusual-Ad4890 Mar 30, 2026 +6
Are we just discovering what Friday The 13th was supposed to be?
6
vercertorix Mar 29, 2026 +18
And it’s not like they let her bang Jennifer Tilly on screen, which she considers high art.
18
Toothless-In-Wapping Mar 30, 2026 +9
We all consider that high art
9
_Badwulf_Bruh__ Mar 29, 2026 +18
Yeah nice try. She didn’t “bang” her. She let Tilly fingerbang *her*. Totally different
18
DaKingaDaNorth Mar 29, 2026 +2
Yup second base don't count

mouth stuff??

Vircxzs Mar 29, 2026 +4
So does that mean she was offered the role of Sandra? That's the only role I can think of in that movie with a topless death scene.
4
bobshiggelgrass Mar 30, 2026 +2
Must be, but in the article she says her death was going to be getting staked through the heart with blood dripping on her chest, which isn’t really how I’d describe Sandra’s death scene even in its uncut form. I guess it was all like 40 years ago lol
2
Irarelylookback Mar 30, 2026 +3
**Showgirls (1995) / Killer Joe (2011) /Bound (1996) / This World, Then the Fireworks (1997).**
3
AltruisticGrowth5381 Mar 30, 2026 +1
But that's the entire point of these kind of movies? It's not exactly auteur cinema.
1
CheezTips Mar 30, 2026 +1
Wasn't she in Bound (1996)??
1
After-Smoke-3971 Mar 29, 2026 -7
And then did Showgirls.
-7
click79 Mar 30, 2026 -7
Yeah was thinking that
-7
criterionhaver Mar 30, 2026 +2
Wow that’s so interesting that you were also thinking that.
2
TheNonCredibleHulk Mar 29, 2026 -1
Damn. She turned it down so hard that they never used that death.
-1
FiscalCliffClavin Mar 30, 2026 -4
Wow. She’s a woman of conviction in Hollywood. That’s a rarity all powered to her!
-4
blueboy714 Mar 30, 2026 -3
That was 45 years ago and she's still thinking about it? Must be a slow news day
-3
One-Incident3208 Mar 30, 2026 -11
So what she's saying is a topples death scene is unacceptable.... Who the f*** is listening to this person?
-11
JasonVorhehees Mar 30, 2026 -2
Such strong conviction…..
-2
Ok_Expression_294 Mar 29, 2026 -3
I just saw her yesterday
