That's standard procedure in Alabama; they just have to make sure they got right in the system that you're a homosexual and not an own-home sexual since the latter is the more common one, and only 15% of adults there are literate. In my experience atheists seem to have more knowledge about the bible than self-proclaimed Christians in this country.

Tbf, over 50% of Americans read at or below a sixth grade level. That literally means they couldn't parse The Hobbit (a children's book from 1937) if you paid them to try, much less the bible. We are a nation of children being led around by the nose by the 1%.

I’m an atheist and sceptic myself, but this is just lazy. There are answers to these questions that actually make sense - within the context of Christian mythology - you just didn’t bother to read up on it at all. Likewise, there are real logical flaws and stupid shit in their belief system, but this is noting.

I think their opinion goes Mary was a virgin when she had Jesus, where'd the sperm/Y chromosome come from if not from herself? Otherwise, if no sperm or Y chromosome from her non-existent male partner then that would make Jesus XX chromosomally, which the undereducated would equate to being a woman... or make him transgender. But sex and gender is WAY more complicated and weird than simple chromosomes.

Intersex traits are biological variations that do occur naturally, but they don't make a new sex. From a genetic standpoint, they are developmental deviations,or mutations within the existing male and female biological framework.
