Awards shows need to stop cutting off acceptance speeches and start cutting unnecessarily long "comedic" bits by their presentors. The way they cut off the "Golden" songwriting team was BRUTAL. That was so rude.

I was thinking disgusting, but also brutal.

I was saying the same thing to my family tonight. I would rather listen to a few more people give acceptance speeches than those awful attempts at jokes. The Bridesmaids cast moment was particularly dreadful.

This was [how Jon Stewart handled it](https://youtu.be/qx8yLvb0gZM?si=FUeaqrSquDPbZ5nJmenit2:13)

Honestly, the real time-suck is the ridiculous number of commercials

Being a below the line category isn't a free pass to treat the winners like filler - even more filler than the actual filler bits that unnecessarily take up time. They still earned the Oscar, and cutting them off for time while the show wastes minutes elsewhere is disgusting.

The director of this year’s awards should find a new career. That was a mess and it was all on the control room. So many poor decisions and blunders. Switching to cameras that were pointed at the floor, awkward pauses and timing, disrespectful cut offs, not having the right microphones turned on; to name the most egregious examples.

Least surprising win of the night

It is not even the best song in that movie.

True, but it’s also better than all the other nominated songs.

"I Lied To You" was more deserving. This is from someone who loves KPDH and all of its songs and didn't like Sinners as much as most people.
