Question for anyone who supports this: How do you tell who is suppose to be in which bathroom?

They can't. I had a classmate that transitioned from female to male, couldn't tell. Legally required he would have to use the woman's bathroom, which will only result in women wondering what a man is doing in their bathroom. These people truthfully think of trans people as wojak stereotypes. They obviously don't care about reality, just if it'll hurt people that they don't like.

They're going to try and force people to pull down their pants. Next thing, they'll be watching your bedroom to see people's private habits behind the curtain. That's what they are after. They want to invade everyone's privacy, because they can't handle a world where everyone is free with autonomy.

This looks like its gonna be like gun laws in that they can only typically be used as additional charges, or used to give justification to investigate someone.

if you're a man who's transitioned to female you cannot be in the female bathroom. But apparently if you're a female who's transitioned to male you must head to the female bathroom? Have I got it right?

Yes, they could face a year in prison. The politicians know that this is crazy, that trans people don't present a risk, but the idea is to stop trans people engaging in public life. They can't ban trans people directly so they do everything they can to humiliate and make trans people's lives as difficult as they can so they have little option to leave the area. In reality, no trans person is going to use the facilities of their natal sex (unless they're pre/early transition) - not only does it out them, it also puts them at risk of aggression and violence. After the UK's Supreme Court re-imagined the Equality Act and removed the most important anti-discrimination protections for trans people, I asked a few dozen of my trans friends if they are using the facilities of their natal rather than acquired sex and none of them stated they had. It's almost ridiculous to ask.

Thats the point. Trans men following this law get to be assaulted for going in the womens bathroom. Anyone taking the risk will probably be fine, but are you willing to risk years or life in jail where you'll be assaulted, v-coded and just treated like trash for it? You'd literally get less time with indecent exposure laws by openly taking a shit on the street.

As far as I can tell according to this bill this individual should go to prison for life for not using the women’s bathroom. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shane_Ortega If you see pictures of him he is way manlier than I, a natural born man, will ever be.

"Easy! If you go into the women's bathroom but i'm *not* attracted to you, you're probably a dude so life in jail for you. But on the other side, if you go into the mens bathroom and i *am* attracted to you, then i'll jerk off in secret while thinking of ways to repress the LGBT+ community even harder" -Anti-trans shitheels, probably

>Idaho Gov. Brad Little (R) signed a bill on Tuesday that makes it a criminal offense for trans people to use the bathroom associated with their gender, which could carry a punishment of up to life in prison. He also signed a bill banning Pride flags on government buildings, the second ban on the Pride flag that Idaho has passed in the past several years. The city of Boise took down its Pride flag after Little signed the law, a flag that it has been flying for a decade. H.B. 752, the bathroom bill, [applies to all restrooms](https://www.lgbtqnation.com/2026/03/trans-people-could-face-life-in-under-bathroom-ban-passed-by-idaho-legislature/), including those maintained by private businesses, rather than just those in government buildings. The law makes Idaho the fourth state – after Florida, Kansas, and Utah – to criminalize trans people who use the restroom that corresponds with their gender, but the other state laws don’t apply to private businesses. And it gets worse. [As independent journalist Erin Reed explained](https://www.erininthemorning.com/p/idaho-passes-most-extreme-bathroom), a fourth violation of the law would constitute a third felony conviction, punishable under Idaho’s persistent violator statute by a mandatory minimum of five years and up to life in prison. Reed also noted that H.B. 752 allows prior convictions for violations of other states’ anti-trans bathroom laws to count towards the escalation of penalties in Idaho. If a trans person is convicted in another state, Reed explained, their first violation in Idaho would count as their second, making them subject to stiffer penalties. [A 2025 study](https://williamsinstitute.law.ucla.edu/publications/safety-in-restrooms-and-facilites/) found that there is “no evidence of increased harms to people who are not transgender when transgender people are allowed to use restrooms and other gendered facilities according to their identity.” Democratic state Sen. Ron Taylor said that the bill is about oppressing a marginalized population. This is genocide, plain and simple. They are trying to exterminate trans people and torture trans people unto eternal damnation. Christian nationalists are demented sadists. They find torturing trans people satisfying. They claim to love their neighbors. If that's the case, I'd rather be nowhere near them. If being a Christian means committing genocide on trans people, I want nothing to do with them or with Jesus. Christian nationalists don't portray God as a loving God, the way they hunt and persecute trans people.

I follow a few trans athletic trainers and they're more masculine than me and I'm a burly bearded blue collared caveman. Obviously we all know this is performative from the politicians themselves to keep their followers from thinking about all the ruination they're creating, but I don't think your average supporter of bigotry has thought this through.

Show of hands, folks. How many of you have been attacked by a dude dressed like a girl in the girls’ bathroom? Okay, now who here has been attacked by a dude, dressed like a dude, that either you or your parents mistakenly trusted?

[Conservatism](https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/conservatism) \-- by definition -- is "a political philosophy based on tradition and social stability, **stressing the importance of established hierarchies and institutions** (such as religion, the family, and **class structure**), and preferring gradual development to abrupt change". The *sole* value of conservatism is respect for and obedience to \[one's perception of\] traditionally established hierarchy, and hierarchy dictates that those on top (in-groups) are rightfully idolized and receive privileges, credibility, and resources, while those on the bottom (out-groups) are demonized/dehumanized and/or bound by restrictions, scrutiny, and lack of resources. To them, the second-greatest injustice imaginable is for those \[they perceive to be\] on top \[of social hierarchy\] to be bound by the restrictions, scrutiny, and lack of resources reserved for those on the bottom. The first greatest injustice is for those on the bottom to have access to the rights, credibility, and resources reserved for those on top. Conservatives absolutely need an underclass \[for society\] to demonize and dehumanize in order to maintain \[their\] hierarchy, and every single one of their policies and rhetoric work to do exactly that. Every right-wing accusation is a confession -- *every. single. one*; always! -- as it is never *the act itself* that upsets them, but rather, *the social standing* of the person doing the act, as said act is a privilege meant for those on top of \[their perceived\] hierarchy (See also: pedophilia - Trump, Epstein, Catholic church versus LGBTQ+, drag queens) "Know your place" is their mantra.

I’m Canadian. I’ve emailed my MP (Member of Parliament - similar to a House rep) to suggest that we implement a special refugee visa for LGBTQ+ people needing to flee the madness, the persecution and the bigotry, in the US. Postibg this to encourage my fellow Canucks to do the same. 🇨🇦
