When these people talk about "America" they're talking about themselves.
They're not talking about you, and the that's because they don't care about you.

Lindsay Graham is [up by 20% in early NYT projections](https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/polls/south-carolina-us-senate-election-polls-2026.html) of the November 2026 election. He's forecasted to win, and by a wide margin.
The reality is that Americans won't remember in November, certainly not South Carolinians. The truth is your country is broken. For too long, Americans assumed their empire was the exception to every rule of history.
"There's no way we'll fall to degeneracy and cultural disharmony like the Western Romans; We can't devolve into civil war like the Inca; We won't be torn apart by foreign influence like the Mughals; We'd never collapse due to systemic corruption like the Qing."
Turns out, America will suffer from every imperial cause of death, simultaneously. That's the price of arrogance and exceptionalism. It was ever thus.
So no, ya'll won't remember, I'm afraid.

That’s assuming you can even trust the times these days. Media is bought and complicit.

Yup. At this point i am excited to see what flags the different states decide to use after the collapse/civil war.
Maybe the strongest state will keep the stripey one they use now, and all the others will use their current state flags, or maybe they will make completely new ones... I am hoping for the latter and we get to see some like the Kiwi Lazer flag from New Zeeland.

Hasn't there been pendulum swings for every midterm?

It must be awful to get up in the middle of the night to check Truth Social and find the talking point that you are expected to defend tomorrow.

Remember the ACA subsidies the GOP cut at the cost of shutting down the government?
They were only $35 Billion. For what they want to bomb foreigners for a few weeks we could have fully funded the ACA for nearly **six years**

Not to mention we're already spending $1T on Defense before this supplemental.

But the ACA was from Obama's presidency. Trump would rather wipe his ass with $35 billion than keep anything from Obama's administration. Even Obama aside, Trump would rather wipe his ass with $35 billion than do anything to help poor people.

The Republican Senate and the Republican White House you voted for / couldn’t be bothered to vote to prevent, 70% of America.
Great job 🤦🏻♀️

That is how insane they are.

“America First” used to mean “Let the Nazis Win”. It’s hilarious that the GOP is now furiously denying accusations of being not America First enough.

It's more campaign contributions from the Military-Industrial Complex to the GOP. It's been their way of doing things for decades. They'll say anything to keep that train on the track.

They do realize they are blowing a hole in the "My grand kids will be paying for this" talking point that Limbaugh was selling.
