There is a genuine sadism. That is why Trump always describes people with tears in their eyes with such pride.

isn't this literally the claim they made against Hillary when they claimed she and her cabal were extracting adrenochrome from kids by scaring them before they died? it was all f****** projection. it's always been projection with these sadist fucks

it’s sickening how some people get off on power; it’s like a twisted horror movie that never ends.

Epstein is the inevitable and natural consequence of capitalism

[Lavrentiy Beria](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lavrentiy_Beria) > Lavrentiy Pavlovich Beria[a] (29 March [O.S. 17 March] 1899 – 23 December 1953) was a **Soviet politician** and one of the longest-serving and most influential of Joseph Stalin's secret police chiefs, serving as head of the NKVD from 1938 to 1945, during the country's involvement in the Second World War. **Beria was also a prolific sexual predator who serially raped scores of girls and young women, and murdered some of his victims.** > In one case, Beria picked up Tatiana Okunevskaya, a well-known Soviet actress, under the pretence of bringing her to perform for the Politburo. Instead he took her to his dacha, where he offered to free her father and grandmother from prison if she submitted. He then raped her, telling her, "Scream or not, it doesn't matter". In fact, Beria knew that Okunevskaya's relatives had been executed months earlier. Okunevskaya was arrested shortly afterwards and sentenced to solitary confinement in the Gulag Just a normal Wednesday in the Soviet Union.

Yes, Beria was a monster - an individual monster, who was afraid of his closest allies in government figuring out what he was doing Epstein's island is a systemic and direct result of capitalism, full of capitalists protecting each other. I know you REALLY wanted to make a reactionary mic drop here, but... it falls flat under the tiniest bit of scrutiny.

jfc, go bang your drum someplace else. so there were no sexual predators in communist societies, in agrarian societies, in medieval societies? there have always been some men who are monsters. trying to move this to a conversation about capitalism is gross and disrespectful.

I think the point he's trying to make is that Epstein is the inevitable consequence of extreme wealth and power concentrated in a small group of people. When Reagan massively cut taxes for the rich we were all promised that their wealth would "trickle down to us". Instead what happened was that they kept all of their extreme wealth to themselves, and then used it to fulfill their most sick and depraved fantasies.

>so there were no sexual predators in communist societies, in agrarian societies, in medieval societies? Sure there were, they just didn't have their own private island and jets where they did this at the macro scale for decades while covering each others tracks. >there have always been some men who are monsters And only under capitalism do we put them on the cover of Forbes and see their sickness as a function of meritocracy >Trying to move this to a conversation about capitalism is gross and disrespectful Capitalism is gross. Epstein island, a direct result of capitalism - is one of the many reasons why.

There is so much emotional distance between this comment and the horror of what pedophiles do. But I don’t expect you to understand that.

Pedophilia is not a consequence of capitalism Epstein's island is a direct consequence of capitalism Hope this helps

ElysiumSprouts Mar 27, 2026 -13
Seriously? You just going to ignore the totality of human history prior to capitalism?

no

It’s not about whether sexual predators existed or not It’s about how they are elevated and revered in capitalism like no other system

ElysiumSprouts Mar 27, 2026 +1
And kings, queens, royalty, tsars, emperors, Ceasars, nobility of all types, clergy, etc, etc. never existed? Please. It's an ignorant statement.

I think you are grossly misrepresenting the scale of what Epstein's island is. People do the same thing when discussing billionaires, because the concept of a billion is so much grander than in your minds eye.

I have a headache now because I tried to imagine a billion cupcakes. Thanks obama

Motosama Mar 27, 2026
I’m sorry but your sense of scale is not appropriate here Kings were overthrown many times. When’s the last billionaire fall? And you must’ve misread my comment. I said they existed, they were not treated the way they are today: a goal to aspire to

Kings/Emperors were the billionaires of their times

The more you know, I didn't know the BBC News had paywalls. I thought the value came from soft power.

Yeah I’ve got paywall

Alex09464367 Mar 27, 2026 +3
In Switzerland there is not paywall. iPlayer doesn't work but I can get all the news without a paywall.
