Trump wants war crimes committed in Iran.
Hegseth wants the end of the world.
Anyone trying to hang on to sanity is going to be purged.

Officially put up or shut up time for Army brass. The enlisted are just gonna do what they're told like good little sheep so it'll be interesting to see how the officers (who are generally more educated) handle this. Long-term view is Trump and Keg aren't very good for business.

I have to imagine the majority of the military prefer to hang out on bases and train rather than get deployed to pointless wars that get themselves killed

Their experience shows that is a likely outcome.
Which is frustrating as hell.

Looks like trump and Hegseth found someone they deem the right kind of loyal:
*Among these departures was George’s deputy, the Vice Chief of Staff of the Army, Gen. James Mingus, who was in the post for less than two years when Trump suddenly nominated Lt. Gen. Christopher LaNeve for the position. LaNeve was then serving as Hegseth’s top military aide, having been plucked for that post from commanding the Eighth Army in South Korea after less than a year in the job.*

POTUS failed to have a plan, or even a stated goal. So it can't be his fault all this is going South.. Sec Def can't seem to find his own ass without a glass of whiskey so it can't be his fault, he was always inept.. So it must be this General guys fault who has to follow orders given to him by people who can't figure out how to win at Connect 4

Anyone think this has to do with kid rock? They suspend to investigate the guys who did that and hegseth undid those actions right after. That sort of moves destroys leaderships authority and would lead to a confrontation between the two. That might have pushed things to the brink and Hegseth sacked George for it.

Probably because of a ton of military experience he knows full well that boots on the ground against c**** drones is a no win. He’s army and 82 is army. He probably gave a knowledgeable, profanity laced assessment of their ‘plan’ regarding the 82nd and the vanity war in general. A smart president would’ve had him a top candidate for Hegseth’s job.
