Of course, the general told Hegseth that he's f\*cking crazy to launch a ground attack and hence he's retired now.

It could be even worse. This could be about the Army helicopters that did a fly by at Kid Rock's house. The pilots were initially suspended as an investigation began and Hegseth undid that in a tweet.

I think this is it.

Worse still, it could be that he was against Trump/Hegseth's plans for Iran, so the embarassing Kid Rock situation was planned to give everyone an out that didn't involve a General publicly declaring his lack of confidence in the White House.
But that would rely on a level of strategic planning way beyond Hegseth and the Nepo-Baby-in-Chief's capability.

So a fly-by of Kid Rock's house as a false flag to justify ousting a top general? It's just stupid enough that I could believe it.

No it's too stupid, so I'm pretty confident that's what they went with.

Problem is if there is a ground attack that general is the most qualified to do it, now they'll find someone less qualified but eager to do it. Dangerous combination.

It was always dangerous, probably a suicide mission. It could barely get worse.

Trump and his clique are continuing to remove anyone who doesn't "Fall in Line". The disturbing thing is neither Trump or Hegseth have any clue what they're doing, but they're replacing competent people with those that will follow their orders without pushback.

Just run a quick check how many generals and admirals Hegseth removed:
1. General Charles Q. Brown Jr. (Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff)
2. Admiral Lisa Franchetti ( Chief of Naval Operations)
3. General Jim Slife ( Vice chief of staff of Air Force)
4. General Randy George ( Chief of staff of Army)

From what I read, it is only one. The current Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Dan Caine. His appointment was unprecendent. He was a retired 3-star general which required a direct promotion and waiver. It is in law the qualification to be appointed as CJCS is a four-star officer or as a member of the Joint Chiefs which Caine was neither.

Stalin purged his experienced generals and officers in the 1930s which helped Hitler walk almost all the way to Moscow before the winter and an eventual stiffened resistance began to turn them back. US strategy now to be quarterbacked by a guy who co-ran a sofa on Fox News last year.

Happy_Feet333Apr 3, 2026

If America doesn't like what's happening, they had ample opportunity to prevent it... in the 2024 elections.
When Trump laid out everything that is happening.
Of course, enough Democrats sat home because of Gaza... and are doubling-down on doing so again in 2026 and 2028. So it seems that Americans DO want this.
Because actions speak louder than words.
---
And if you don't like this and are American, it's time to seriously consider leaving. Doing whatever necessary to get out. Because your fellow countrymen are bound and determined to f*** themselves over... either because they like it (conservatives), or because of spite (leftists).
