Paria Canyon-Vermilion Cliffs Wilderness, the Owens Valley between Mammoth and Death Valley, Chaco Culture National Historical Park, the Jemez Mountains in New Mexico, and the San Rafael Swell in Utah. All extraordinary, all relatively uncrowded compared to the marquee national parks.
