Homelander has officially reached Negan levels of hatred from me.

Posted by Trenbolone-Papi2

Watching Season 5 of The Boys Don’t know how many of you watched The Walking Dead or are familiar with Negan. But god I never hated any villain more. Maybe Joffrey. But Homelander has officially reached that level with them, at least for me. Where my blood just boils when he does some psychotic shit or I feel tension and angst when he’s on screen. It’s crazy because when he’s not being a sociopath killer he makes me laugh and is my fav The Boys character It’s barely episode 3 and like his psychiatric tendencies just went up a notch and they were already high! Now he’s worse! FFS. What other fictional characters have you guys hated the most? Where you have to remind yourself it’s just a tv show lmao

How did it take so long lmao, he’s been worse than Negan since the first season of the show.

I mean he is a hilarious villain mainly because of Starr’s amazing performance and facial reactions in the show but he’s also absolutely evil as f*** and has been the whole show

Homelander is somehow worse this season because he's not just exploding heads anymore. The quiet psychological stuff, like how he isolates anyone who might care about him, makes my skin crawl more than the gore ever did.

I know everyone else stopped watching The Walking Dead before it happened, but I really enjoyed the Negan redemption arc in seasons 9-11.

His backstory episode was one of my favorites episodes of the whole show.

I dont really hate villains all that much in TV shows, a lot of the time they carry a huge portion of the show, it would have to thing of a villain that is just disgusting all around rather than entretaining probably someone like Clancy Brown as Justin Crowe in Carnivale, that character its just an disgusting and awful. Its not even remotely a cool or fun villain like Homelander or Negan he is just bad, i also feel like whenever there is sexual themes surrounding the character its a bit more unsettling, mainly that character is meant to be the man possesed by the devil and he abuses a lot of women. i would say as far as actually hating characters maybe Adebisi on OZ too, he is kind of a weird character because he is like the most pure evil character on that show, but he is also very charismatic at the same time JK Simmons as Schillinger in OZ is also a insane villain easily more hateable than Negan or Homelander he did have more redeeming qualities than Adebisi tho despite him being scum of the earth. (I do not recomend watching OZ despite being such an interesting show btw takes a lot out of you lol.)

For me He's nowhere near Negan, honestly he has maybe done worse things than Negan but Negan's introductory scenes will always haunt me like none other and also since you mentioned Joeffry, I always found Ramsey wayy more hatable.

I get what u mean but I've never seen a TV show about super hero's that's made my blood boil. That's worrying. I get it though...when I see people interact with homelander I'm like omfg that's how pam bondi and the rest of trumps '7' interact with him.

I’d love to see them have the balls and have Homelander actually take out a lead character before the season ends. And I mean like a main lead, Starlight, Frenchie, just an absolute gut busting, sadistic, evil slow death. Only then will he reach Negan level villainy because as it stands, it’s just really easy to like him due to how fantastically Antony Starr plays the role. I still remember THAT episode of The Walking Dead and the absolute pit in my stomach as it unfolded. Homelander ain’t quite there yet.

Oh man bro I will never forget the anger and shock I felt when Negan did that thing with his bat for the first time. Nothing else has topped that but it came close knowing what Homelander has done, what he did to A Train and what he did to his son now. I felt that rage for a villain again and I love it haha.

I've been generally checked out of that show since Season 2. I don't mind wild excessive craziness, it's just not grounded by any humanity. Or not enough humanity. It's just the writers trying to top themselves with weightless depravity and... it's boring. Sorry.

It’s boring - in your opinion. Still watched and loved by millions.

I'm glad that millions love it. I occasionally watch a few episodes. The effects are neat. But it's trying so hard to be edgy, without ever being edgy.

No, I've seen all of the episodes and spin-offs so far and I have no idea what they're referring to
