House Democratic Leaders Delay Vote on Iran War Powers Resolution Until at Least Mid-April
On Capitol Hill, House Democratic leaders have chosen not to force a vote on an Iran war powers resolution this week, putting off any potential vote until Congress returns from a two-week recess in mid-April. The delay has angered progressives. Demand Progress said in a statement, “This is a moment for anti-war leadership, not hesitation. The House should be on the record now, especially when reporting suggests the votes are there to pass a war powers resolution.” Journalist Ryan Grim of Drop Site News went further, writing that House Foreign Affairs Committee Ranking Member Gregory Meeks is delaying a vote precisely because it might pass. Grim wrote, “Dems secretly want this war to continue because it hurts Trump.” Meanwhile, a bill introduced Thursday by Congressmember Meeks and Washington Democratic Representative Pramila Jayapal seeks to block President Trump from using any federal funds to take military action against Cuba without congressional authorization.

This tells us they know they don't have the votes yet. Wise move as Trump and his loyalists will be nearing their sixty day maximum. This puts pressure on maga congress to act against this latest war.

They should have the votes, Mace and at least 3 of the 4 democrats who voted against it last time said they will vote for it this time. Irregardless even if it fails, if the ground operation fails it gets every republican on record supporting a disaster right before it happens.

Failure means a heavy loss of American Lives in combat. We have to stop this before it begins.

Odd interpretation, my view is they know this is bad for the GOP and for Trump, and they want to prolong the suffering at the expense of people's lives.

What do you know about War Powers Act and the requirements to send Servicemembers into combat operations?

This admin doesn't give a damn about laws. They push every boundary, and act with impunity. They will take any action they want without abiding by laws or procedural norms. Imo, Nothing short of 20%+ of the entire US adult population out in the streets protesting and putting themselves at risk will stop these monsters.
