Two things Dems need to take note on for future elections. 1) those are positions that worked. 2) follow through on your promises.

So Democrats espousing democratic positions win?

Actually, those are what Americans call "Progressive" positions -- which have polled at 70%+ among Americans for decades now. The civilized world calls them "common sense for the past 50+ years" positions...

If you pull the drapes aside and peer through the Overton window you can see the mainstream Democratic positions off to the right. Can you otherwise explain establishment Dems supporting Octogenarian Mills over Platner? It’s almost like establishment Dems don’t want to win.

Yup. The 1% controls both major parties now, thanks to our not public campaign financing system. So, the 1% always wins and we always lose. :(

Yeah. And in a state that's run by Democrats, no less. Weird, huh?

I’m all for this. Banning Billionaires is not communism and helps to give everyone a shot. Once any human hits $999,999,999 net worth they should be given a letter saying “congratulations! You won America! Your family is now set for generations to come and any future wealth will go towards ensure other hard working families have the same shot you did. Rest easy, citizen. You earned it.”

JB Pritzker, the current Democratic Governor of Illinois and the one who gave her the "boost" (massive infusion of cash) to secure her win, IS a billionaire and a member of one of the richest families in America. I guess you missed that part of the story. :)

>Stratton’s decisive win stunned some pundits who watched Krishnamoorthi hold a steady lead in the contest for months. Krishnamoorthi had begun airing television ads the previous summer and led in fundraising, while the major pro-Stratton super PAC held off until January. Pritzker, a billionaire, donated at least $5 million into Illinois Future PAC, which ultimately spent $14.8 million on ads. While a sizable sum, it still lagged behind Krishnamoorthi’s spending. So, a huge cash infusion into her campaign from the billionaire Democratic Governor of Illinois, who is a member of one of the richest families in the US, led to her victory? That sounds really familiar... Who else does stuff like this, again?
