Does having a hard time to mentally, psychologically, and physically reconnect yourself to the task and your work after 2 or 3 off days weekly badly affect your productivity or efficiency more than if you had 1 off day weekly? Why and by how much? And will it be worse if you are usually doing some highly stimulating or creative things in your off time like writing a novel, making a manga, a video game watching an anime, or any other non work related thing?
Honestly from what I see, the problem is not how many days off but what kind of rest you're doing. If you spend free days writing novel or making manga, your brain is still in full creative mode, and yes, returning to work feels like changing gear on old car. It's harder. But I don't think fewer days off is the answer. Tired person works worse than rested one, even if rested one needs 30 minutes to warm up again. Better question is maybe: what can you do in off days that actually lets your head go quiet for a while, even just few hours.

It wouldn't change anything for me. There's only so much I can do and so long as I'm feeling good I'm maxing that out regardless. I don't see how sitting at home is suddenly going to make me more productive when I get back to work
