You can run 10 miles in 30 seconds.

Usually it's the other way around. People claim they can put 15 miles on a treadmill clocking an Olympic pace find out real quick road miles and treadmill miles aren't the same.

Just so I can give you a truly honest answer, am I running because a swarm of pissed off hornets are chasing me or am I running for fun?

My best is sprinting but it gonna be running eventually

Ghostly_Nova Apr 1, 2026 +1
3.5 miles at least but it depends on how fast I'm running

Due_Willingness1 Apr 1, 2026 +1
I could maybe do a quarter mile, but only if something was chasing me

I have done a 10k at a trot. I could have gone further, I wasn't exhausted, just sore and tired. I a life or death situation, maybe twice that?

Slight_Way_3190 Apr 1, 2026 +1
As far as it takes to get to your mom's house.

dranaei Apr 1, 2026 +1
Did 50km. My dream would be 100km but i don't think it's worth it. Especially because i have a knee issue that appears about an hour in.

Right now I'm wearing jeans, a sweater, a mostly cotton t-shirt, the wrong undergarments, and work shoes. It's a bit damp. I expect it'd start to suck after about a mile and I'd likely be risking goofy injury by around 3 miles. Given proper running attire, 4 miles without incident, while 6 is what I normally consider my limit. I could keep going for another few I suspect, but since I run for fitness I find that whatever joy I can wring from the activity is spent around the 1 hour mark.

All the way to the vape store.

I don't know, I haven't ran at all since at least my mid teens. I'm 36. I haven't had a reason to run.

Does tripping count as stopping?

Martiallawtheology Apr 1, 2026 +1
Never tried the maximum. The most I have run is a 14 KM race. So we stopped at the end.

Farther than you think.

I once ran on a treadmill for what felt like an eternity

True_Dovakin Apr 1, 2026 +1
Back before my back started hurting a lot, 5 miles was my record. Could do 3 easily. Nowadays…not so much.

sitewolf Apr 1, 2026 +1
slightly farther than I can stop without running

Agondonter Apr 1, 2026 +1
8 miles on a good day; 6 miles on most days.

I'm making a trail on my land for maintenance stuff, but I have been fast jogging back to the house after each extension just to make sure I can still make it! I'm up to like 800 feet now. I know, I'm a stud, calm down ladies.

Voluntarily, 6+ miles, per two recent runs, if I keep the pace very relaxed. If I was under some incredible pressure where I had to go further to prevent some kind of disaster, surely a couple more. I started a running habit as a New Year's Resolution. The original goal was just to get to where I could run 3 miles at a medium-strong pace (I wasn't sure how many minutes to set as a goal, but I'd know, subjectively, what a medium-strong pace felt like) and not be as good as dead at the end. I only took until early this month to start making it to 3 miles plus (at about 9 min/mile); now I'm trying to build comfort at slightly higher paces (8 - 8:30/mile), and disappointed to realize that if I go out any harder than a very natural pace, I get exhausted and quit pretty quick. But twice, I've made it my goal that day to hold the pace back to a very gentle slow pace and just see how far I could go. First time, 6.5 miles at 10 min/mile, today 6.2 at 9:30. Those are definitely the first times in my life I've run 6 miles without stopping; it's exciting to think that if I keep up the habit all year without any extended pauses, like if I get injured, I'll be putting up 10+ miles by the end of the year on long slow runs, and hopefully able to do 3-4 miles or more at better than 8 min/mile.

I ran an ultra marathon (50k/31mi) in 2024. It was my first and last time running. Turns out, I hate running.

toxiccandles Apr 1, 2026 +1
21 km. Half Marathon and kind of proud of it.

TheEggoEffect Apr 1, 2026 +1
Right now, if I take it nice and slow and have favorable terrain, probably 3.5-4 miles

As far as I need to depending on the situation.

Dangerous-Energy-331 Apr 1, 2026 +1
Yeah, I’ll take a breather when the leopard does.
1
No-Cap2066 Apr 1, 2026 +1
I’d just shoot it tbh. You’ll never catch me in a situation around a big cat without a gun (unless it’s a zoo).
1
Dangerous-Energy-331 Apr 1, 2026 +1
The problem is you usually don’t know one is stalking you until it’s too late to do anything about it.
