The real story isn’t who used ICE, it’s how easily it could be used.

ICE at airports did the opposite. It caused Americans to be confronted with what they are.

Right, but setting the bar of having not murdered anyone during their temping as TSA will help people think less unpleasant thoughts, like I guess they won't ALL murder people. That is until it's politically useful to kill some people again.

Hmm I think they will be overwhelmed. There are not enough Icec agents in the country to cover the polls...
You vote... You hang around at the boundaries..
18
GarageFridgeSodaMar 28, 2026
+11
Lets say you plan to send 10 ice agents to every polling station you intend to disrupt and intimidate the public at. There are, based on best estimates cobbled from numbers that have been given over the last couple years, 10,000 minimum field agents and that number is growing constantly as more and more nazis join them.
That's coverage for 1,000 polling locations. Easily enough to be a massive problem in as many cities as they want. LA, Minneapolis together seem to have less than 500 total voting places. Seattle and Portland have near universal mail-in or ballot dropoff voting which means it'd be harder to harass most people there since they fill out ballots at home and just drop them into a drop box but it also means they could have people at literally *every* voting center in those cities.

During midterms they could send ICE to bluer polling stations in mixed districts to depress Dem votes while keeping Rep votes about the same. Now the Rep candidate becomes their Representative in the House, and the Rep candidate for Senator also gets a boost.
I’m hoping they aren’t competent enough to do it successfully.

So you need to ask yourself, what can you do.???..

Professional-Can1385Mar 29, 2026
Vote like I usually do.
No one is messing with our polls. My district is safely blue, and on the federal level all I have to vote for is a non-voting Delegate in the House. The Democrat will win.

GarageFridgeSodaMar 28, 2026

It's pretty irrelevant to the direct election outcome regardless, the house is *very* unlikely to flip and the Senate flipping is a pipe dream. Christo-fascists, nazis, transphobes, and woman beaters are all going to keep voting republican even if it hurts them at the gas pump.
But depressing overall voting numbers could absolutely make it look like the public mandate for the regime is bigger than it is.

Bookies set odds to cover all bets and make a profit, these are not direct predictions of situational outcomes and it's absolutely laughable that you think that's a reasonable source.
In what world is a series of elections the dems have 50% or worse odds on individually 50% likely going to *all* come through lmfao

Prediction market prices adjust dynamically based on supply and demand, not bookies. So I think the price they settle at does have some informational value
5
GarageFridgeSodaMar 29, 2026
Uhhhh, yeah. That's what a bookie does*.* Kalshi *are* bookies / is a bookie as an entity.
And it does have some informational value - value couched within the reality that they are covering all bets by setting odds such to encourage more even betting.

bryan49Mar 29, 2026
+3
As I understand it they only facilitate the market but do not set the prices. The prices are set by bids submitted by gamblers. They get matched with someone on the opposite side of the bet who agrees to the same price. So the price should converge to some sort of equilibrium which is a crowd sourced probability. It's not the same as say betting on a football game where the house sets a line

There is like a 5% chance of flipping the house and 0% chance to flip the senate. Dems are not playing to win regardless.
If you want to win, you need to radicalize and start reading leftist political theory. Start building resilient mutual aid networks and parallel power structures with your neighbors. Demand politicians to vote for who aren't simply 'less fascist than literal nazis' but are people who actually want to dismantle the oligarchy that led us here.

lmfao go look at the seats that would have be flipped. Just to get a senate majority on paper Dems would have to keep Georgia and Michigan as 50/50 states. Then go and win Maine, North Carolina, Alaska AND Ohio. All of those states must be won *on top of* not fumbling a single seat they are polling ahead in currently (New Hampshire being the most vulnerable).

The Gestapo (short for
Geheime Staatspolizei, "Secret State Police") was the brutal secret police of Nazi Germany, formed in 1933 by Hermann Göring and later managed by Heinrich Himmler. Operating outside judicial review, it hunted opponents, conducted surveillance, and played a key role in the Holocaust until 1945.

ICE is not police. Police have professional standards for how they act and serve the public. ICE doesn't serve the public, they serve trump. Put them in an airport and take their masks, they can be useful and act human. That's what they need to do to become police.

> Police have professional standards for how they act and serve the public
In theory. But those standards are appallingly low in many places, blatantly fascist in others, and there are plenty of law enforcement agencies that don't "serve" the public.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lists_of_killings_by_law_enforcement_officers_in_the_United_States and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gangs_in_the_Los_Angeles_County_Sheriff%27s_Department for example....

At least with cops, there’s a *sliiiight* chance that they’ll face legal consequences, and that’s only if they *get caught* doing some fuckshit.
ICE and Border Patrol on the other hand have the most extreme case of IRL plot armor. They only get consequences for things they’ve done while not on the job.
