Illustrious-Egg5565 Apr 23, 2026 +126
Nope, he was resurrected for the interview

WeWantMOAR Apr 23, 2026 +7
I think you have to be dead to be resurrected.

"Final interview" kind of implies that

I think you missed the part of the title that says "in final interview".

morosco Apr 23, 2026 +31
There's a joke here about Hogan referring to himself as "brother" in that sentence.

modix Apr 23, 2026 +7
In fairness they used the present tense for the statement. Sure it may be present tense in the sense that the show is doing it, but it's poorly constructed and confusing.

You got some invisible text reader or something, cause I aint seein anything of sorts in the title.

ChunkdarTheFair Apr 23, 2026 +5
It's literally the last three words of the title of this post.

Guys.... the documentary was filmed... not gonna believe this... years ago....

goatanuss Apr 23, 2026 +33
Yeah the word “tells” should have probably been “told” to make it more obvious that it’s a thing that happened in the past and isn’t still going on.

KtinaDoc Apr 23, 2026 +8
He sat down with Netlix in 2025

MrMansaMusa Apr 23, 2026 +1
Yes it was February, March of 2025. Should have said year ago, but 2025 isnt 2026 and we got people in these comments thinking this is current news so just clarifying.

oh_please_god_no Apr 23, 2026 +17
Hogan is a serial liar so if I were you I wouldn’t believe a single thing in that doc.
17
Lenny0mega Apr 24, 2026 +2
That’s probably why he said to stop, because it was probably one of the only real things in that doc.  It was Horace Hogan’s dad.

F*** hogan and his legacy. He was racist , union busting trash and is the reason wrestlers get FUCKED h******* over pay and healthcare. All so he could line his pockets. I'm sure he juiced so much the worms that ate him probably have rad six packs and heart palpations.

Thenotsodarkknight Apr 23, 2026 +4
Most of that’s fair , but he isn’t the ONLY reason wrestlers got screwed. Plenty of other top WWE stars had opportunities to advocate for a union. Cena and Rock are in SAG and they have the benefit of knowing how they work. Not a peep. WCW didn’t unionize. AEW/ROH hasn’t unionized. TNA hasn’t unionized. I’m all for calling out the racism - but his Union issues are a drop in the bucket compared to the industry efforts to suppress unionization combo’d with anti-union sentiment throughout the county over the last thirty or so years.

Stop trying to rationalize and stay on topic. Your whataboutisms are weak AF. He was a driving force for not unionizing, and guess what? Those smaller leagues take their cues from the WWE/the biggest player in the field, especially at the time he helped bust all attempts at unionization when WWE was pretty much the ONLY wrestling league. The next biggest being WCW, which the "Huckster" as I call him also spread his union busting nessage. He leveraged his incredible fame and connections at the height of his career to f*** over his "brothers" so he could sweeten his own deal. He was always trash. Your whataboutisms are trash.

It’s not a “Whataboutism” - I acknowledged that he played a role initially …. but it’s lazy and disingenuous to argue that he was the “driving force” and then ignore the fact that the initial event happened in 1986 (40 years ago) and then ignore all of the time in between today … where nothing has changed. But hey … let’s suppose you’re right ? Hogan acted as an impediment to Unionization. Was that the only factor that stopped it? How difficult would Unionization have been even with Hulk? How dos the independent contractor status play into it? What was the politics of the country at the time? By 1986 … most companies had access to fully fleshed out guides/playbooks used to disrupt union behavior. Was there a formal path for Independent Contractors to unionize? Since they weren’t recognized as employees … that means they don’t have access to the NLRB or any of their systems. So even if they had majority support - contractors aren’t federally protected - which means that Vince was not obligated to negotiate… this along with a plethora of other reasons have caused the issue. But sure let’s say it’s Hogan’s fault and ignore the business politics and the way the law was written. Nuance is dead.
