Just caught this new spy thriller on a random Wednesday when it showed up out of the blue on my Netflix queue and I was blown away. Realistically terrific action scenes & great acting with a strong plot to boot and in a way was kind of a homage to John Woo and his early work.
Check it out & I can confidently say you won't be disappointed.
Worth knowing this is the final film in Ryoo Seung-wan's unofficial 'Overseas Location' trilogy — The Berlin File (2013), Escape from Mogadishu (2021), and now this. Each film takes Korean agents out of their home territory and puts them somewhere geopolitically volatile. If you haven't seen Escape from Mogadishu, that one is genuinely exceptional and hits even harder than Humint.

Are these movies action thrillers? I’m more interested in dialogue focused spy thrillers myself, if you have any recs

I'm intrigued as a John Woo fan.
I googled "HUMINT" and saw [this photo](https://i0.wp.com/www.micropsiacine.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/inthum-1-1.jpeg?fit=1020%2C680&ssl=1) so now I'm sold on watching it 😁

I am going to see this. Netflix uploaded some Korean action films last week, The Veteran, The Berlin File and The Unjust.

I enjoyed The Unjust - if you like Don Lee - "Unstoppable" is a great film
