I don’t know if this is a silly take but it felt like Beef S2 seemed more like White Lotus?

Yeah. It’s like the way the episodes are being shot…the music even a little bit. And season 1 was basically 1 v 1. Season 2 at least through episode 2 has tons of things going on. Can’t blame them for taking a page out of the white lotus style, but definitely made be wonder if some of the writers of this season came from white lotus. Good call!

Because it's on a golf club that has that rich people hotel vibe like the white lotus. The pacing and story are still Beef vibe I think it's great.

I've watched the first two episodes and my wife said the same thing. If the title card was "White Lotus season 4" you'd never know the difference.

I too said it feels like White Lotus while watching Beef S2 last night, and my wife disagreed. I was wondering if I'm crazy, so decided to search listnook whether there are ppl with similar perspective and im thrilled to find this 16hrs old fresh post, which is written at almost exact time I watched the show :)

More stories about the problems of rich people. I genuinely think they write this shit because actors don't want to be uncomfortable so it's an easy way to convince them to join your project. This trend f****** sucks. I'm so indifferent towards this show while the first season was f****** awesome.

There are definitely aspects that feel similar. I think they still have a distinct vibe but it's still pretty similar.

I saw people making that comparison from the trailer alone and I was hoping it wouldn't be the case, because I could never get into White Lotus. I haven't watched it yet, so I'll have to see how I feel about it.
