And wooooo! It’s a nice feeling! Some random stranger on the internet made my day by giving me a few dollars.
I won’t become rich this way but after two weeks of no feedback at all its making me feel good. Still an very expensive hobby to code mostly for me and my new best friend on the App Store.
Just wanted to share that I’m feeling good 😊
Congratulations! You must be good at what you do; you should consider turning it into more than just a hobby.

AI does help with prototyping a lot. I am old school and learned coding myself quite a while ago. And for the app I’ve built that was like 5000$ upfront development cost. And now: 5$ revenue. So I somehow doubt it will work. AI accelerated stuff but that also hat an impact on the available titles in the market. Hard to stand out.

It’s harder to stand out these days. But you have to weigh the pros and cons; plus, if it’s a new venture, you’ll need patience to recoup your investment… and you’ll have to promote it through every possible channel.

Hey, seeing the project through to completion enough to receive payment is an accomplishment in and of itself, then you went and made a sale, too?
That is worth celebrating!

Im genuinely happy for you, that $2 sale actually made your week
Especially after two weeks with no feedback, that small sale must feel huge. Spent like 3 nights refreshing teh dashboard and grinning, cant pretend the ego boost isnt welcome, you put time and energy into something and someone paid actual money for it so yeah its oddly validating and definately worth celebrating, enjoy the high yesssss

Congrats!! I felt the same way when someone first bought something from my app. I almost checked my database to email that stranger and say thank you… but yeah, that would’ve been kinda weird lol.

Yesssss congrats, thats awesome
Same vibe, i sold my first tiny app and it felt bizarre, like someone paid $2 to validate my 2am despair and i was weirdly elated, spent like 3 nights chasing a semicolon bug, pushed the update sleepy and checked the store out of habit and there it was one sale and i actually smiled then closed my laptop and stared at the ceiling, its an expensive hobby but those tiny wins make it worth it, even if you get no feedback for weeks, celebrate it, buy a taco or something, enjoy the small victory (teh joy is real)
