I want to share a small win of mine that may not seem like a big deal for others! I have been suffering from mental health problems for a long time. I’ve done online jobs and freelance as I’m scared of leaving the house alone, but have a very little experience in offline work. I couldn’t live like this anymore, so despite my fear I’ve been trying to be more social recently. I finally gathered enough courage to go to an interview for an offline job!! The salary is not very high but it’s fine for a beginner, also I will continue doing the freelance stuff. Is it embarrassing that I’m in my mid 20s and still a beginner? Yes absolutely. But is it over for me? I hope not!
I am still scared of leaving the house, I still get the panic attacks, but I won’t let the fear consume me this time. So I’m going to do my best, I am very scared but also surprisingly excited, if you told me a year ago that I would be willing to leave the house and meet new people, I wouldn’t believe you, but here we are! Even if they reject me, I hope this will be an exposure therapy and the next one won’t be scary anymore.
So yeah just wanted to share my excitement with the world. I hope such a post is allowed here.
bro that's a huge step, congrats! don't stress about being a beginner, everyone's got to start somewhere. keep pushing through the fear, you got this!

It's not embarrassing, people start over or change careers and start from the bottom all the time at any age. I'm older than you and in a similar position. I have had issues with social anxiety for as long as I can remember and recently took a job in a restaurant as a server/bartender, something I thought I could never do. The exposure is helping a lot and while I still get anxious and make mistakes, each day is better than the last. Keep going, you'll do great.

I think nearly all mid 20s are beginners tbh! I mean you don’t become an expert in 3 years if you graduate college at 22

Best advice for someone with social anxiety if you need a job go for night shift.

As someone who’s done night shift, it ain’t for everyone, it maybe nice at first. But you’ll soon miss sunlight and being awake during the day.
It can mess with you
