I think I need a hobby or a new group of friends
I constantly see myself doom scrolling on my phone.
I have a few friends that I hang out with but they're quite busy on their work.
Anyone wanna chat? or any suggestion what's a good skill to learn to kill time?
Try picking up cooking or learning an instrument, its super rewarding even if you suck at first. Im down to chat too if you wanna vent or just talk about random stuff to get off the doom scrolling loop.

Yeah stopping something like that is an ass process.
The way I do it is once I actually have enough of it, where I just feel like it passes the time rather than entertain me, I don't go on my phone for a while. Just set up a barrier in my mind to leave my phone off my person and whenever I get an urge to go on it, do something else instead. And I justify it that the amount of time I spend doing whatever I do id spend on my phone anyway so it's a learning curve to experience time passing in the same speed in both situations.
Baso the only way forward is to STOP using your phone. If you only "go on it sometimes" it will never work. That doesn't mean you gotta stop using it permanently, but long enough for other activities to be a contender when considering to use it.
Hobbies will naturally arise from boredom. It'll feel difficult at first but that's just life. Once you learn to actually explore rather than be stuck in your own mind without being able to act shits a lot easier. Remember we are accustomed to pass time in no other way than doomscroll.
Drawing and reading are great places to start.
