I mean honestly maybe he doesn't follow the news. I didn't read the article so if it opens with, "now I know the news of late" then yeah, but this guy is like 80, maybe he doesn't know

Nobody's accused Stephen Tyler of being in "good form" for decades

More like “holy shit he’s still alive.”

I highly doubt that Ian McKellen at 86 years old spent a significant amount of tracking Johnny Depp’s court case and life other than - “oh he won? Swell!”

I’d have loved to see Tim Burton do A Christmas Carol.

It makes sense,  At 86 he Ian grew up in a time where domestic abuse was much more common.

Man, shut the actual f*** up and go contribute something of value to humanity.

Didn’t Depp win in court?
-26
Regular_Jim081 Apr 9, 2026 +45
No, neither of them did.  Just the second of two civil suits, in two countries, that confirmed that he choked out his wife - 22 years his Junior.

NoTitleChamp Apr 9, 2026 +20
No, despite people who treated it like a tv show or sports game insistence, thats not what happened.

Rski765 Apr 9, 2026 -9
Looked like he won, but hey ho

JeyneDough Apr 9, 2026 +16
Yeah, it looked that way because they chose a state with terrible SLAPP laws and made it a media circus, he was a better actor, more well liked, especially by the people and bots who pushed that narrative.

Well he didn’t win UK, and despite what people desperately want to believe a US court ruling differently doesn’t have any bearing on ours… And though he did win the US, it was appealed, and he settled, meaning that that ruling doesn’t really matter iirc

Oh my God, not this again

Watched an hour of that trial and I know both of them were two massive steaming piles.

Rski765 Apr 9, 2026 -7
I’m sure they are both reprehensible, but the question is who won the trial. It looked like Depp clearly did.

A guilty man is tried on all counts, just because they go after the bigger crime doesn't mean the others were not committed.

He won on the court of law - but not in the court of Listnook

Hyperbolicalpaca Apr 10, 2026 +4
He also lost in a court of law lol He is legally a wife beater

SwingKey3599 Apr 9, 2026 +15
after losing the first trial he decided to get another in the united states using a lower burden of proof in a state that had lax SLAPP laws. basically, claiming that he won the lawsuit is like claiming that you won a game of super Mario kart against your friend at the sleep over when actually you had to go to your house and have your brother beat your friend for you.
