If I were a TSA agent who hasn't been paid in FIVE weeks while these gravy seals prance about in full tactical doing nothing and GETTING PAID for it, I'd call in sick too.
1150
aMONAY69 Mar 25, 2026 +654
Add on the fact that they aren't getting paid explicitly *because* of ICE. What a slap in the face to people who actually contribute something to our society.
654
thishasntbeeneasy Mar 25, 2026 +187
Buying a plane ticket still incurs the TSA fees too. The money is there, they just aren't getting it.
187
deathrider012 Mar 25, 2026 +100
You're not wrong about the first thing, but let's not pretend TSA does *anything* useful considering they're just security theater that has never prevented a single terrorist incident.
100
OB1yaHomie Mar 25, 2026 +18
To be fair, they have been kind enough to pat down my balls on a few different occasions now.
18
kelticladi Mar 25, 2026 +72
That's the tricky thing about security. You don't have a good measure of all the bad things prevented, but all it takes is one mistake to become noticable.
72
def-jam Mar 25, 2026 +49
Every time they use trained operatives to penetrate TEA security, they get in. EVERY TIME. All the TSA does is provide a mass attack opportunity by forcing huge line-ups OUTSIDE the secure area. Ever flown through Atlanta? It’s so vulnerable outside the TSA point. All the TSA stops is Billy Bob McFuckwhistle from being drunk, bringing his pistol and shooting the steward because he didn’t get his Bourbon and Coke fast enough.
49
adgobad Mar 25, 2026 +39
To be fair, Billy Bobs are a major hazard
39
_Phil_McCracken_ Mar 25, 2026 +55
If I was TSA and for some reason was still working without pay for 5 weeks, this is definitely the point where I would quit.
55
eat_my_ass_n_balls Mar 25, 2026 +23
That’s the whole point of doing this. It dismantles TSA and it normalizes armed ICE militia at airports
23
RespectTheTree Mar 25, 2026 +18
Get to work, Gravy Seals. Lazy freeloaders.
18
RepulsiveLoquat418 Mar 25, 2026 +6106
"Siccing a bunch of ICE agents on airports for the obvious purpose of making an already-fraught situation worse may be fun for Trump and his most fanatically right-wing followers. For everyone else, it’s further proof that the so-called hysterical liberals were in fact right all along."
6106
Individual-Guest-123 Mar 25, 2026 +4357
How about the slap in the face to TSA agents that these goons who work for the same Department, who are standing around doing NOTHING, are getting a PAYCHECK while they are not? I wonder how many more TSA agents are saying F\* that and walking off? I would be soooo pissed.
4357
Shadow293 Mar 25, 2026 +1892
There’s already reports of TSA agents despising ICE, watching them get paid to d*** around all day while TSA agents are being over-worked with no pay.
1892
Henson_Disney48 Mar 25, 2026 +254
They both are equally useless at their jobs of "keeping Americans safe". TSA is all security theater, and while I don't like the idea of anyone working without pay, I have very little sympathy for the TSA.
254
schw4161 Mar 25, 2026 +1327
Look man I don’t like TSA anymore than you, but if we’re going to have to choose between the two I’ll take TSA 10/10 times. Most inconvenient thing is they’ve made me throw my weed out vs being executed for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. I agree with your takes about TSA in general, but that’s not the conversation here lol
1327
Maybe_Julia Mar 25, 2026 +386
At least most tsa agents are nice , I have only met like one or two TSA folks on a power trip, seems like being a d*** is a job requirement for ice.
386
ArenSteele Mar 25, 2026 +136
Yeah, I have never had a major issue with airport security. It’s always CBP that go on power trips. Had a guy take my luggage apart and just got more and more upset that he couldn’t find drugs, I was 100% expecting him to plant shit on me, when he gave up, let me go and was an absolute jerk about having wasted his time on me
136
Maybe_Julia Mar 25, 2026 +86
Had the same thing happen on the way back from Japan , I checked all my actual clothes and had a carryon full of Japanese candy and souvenirs, the guy cut open every single kit Kat bag and seemed mad it was literally candy. He was like why do you have so much and I was like would you like to try one they are really good and stupid expensive in the states and I bring them back as gifts for friends. He just grumbled about how weird it was and kept insisting I was doing something shady for having 5 pounds of candy , finally I got fed up and asked if their was a supervisor I could speak too and he just said I was free to go. Like buddy is tokyo a drug hot spot now ?
86
Known_Ratio5478 Mar 25, 2026 +40
Japan in general isn’t a drug hotspot. It’s four times more costly to smuggle drugs into Japan.
40
X-istenz Mar 26, 2026 +7
Imagine working in an international airport and thinking it was weird to bring back local snacks. Actually baffling. Wait til they see the bottle of Suntory whiskey, gonna blow his actual mind.
7
influencernextdoor Mar 25, 2026 +18
I can relate with you. Same thing, even tried going through our phones.
18
J3musu Mar 25, 2026 +31
Idk if I'd necessarily say they're nice at the airport I generally go through, but I don't expect them to be smiley and polite, I just expect them to do their job without causing unneeded hassle, which they usually do just fine at.
31
Maybe_Julia Mar 25, 2026 +11
I suppose that's what I meant , as a retail worker myself I never expect a fake smile and people to be happy at work. Just don't go out of your way to make my day harder and we are good ha ha.
11
LeticiaPadillaSolis_ Mar 25, 2026 +75
As a woman I’m kind of glad ICE has been standing around not doing anything (unmasked and with face in full sight). They’re not TSA compliance trained. Can you imagine the amount of disgusting and invasive pat downs they would do just for funsies?
75
0RedNomad0 Mar 25, 2026 +18
This is why I'm not flying anywhere anytime soon.
18
AsparagusUpstairs367 Mar 25, 2026 +16
I am honestly suprised anyone is. With the unstable controllers and ICE at the airport, this is a great time for a big strike to fly
16
chimneydecision Mar 25, 2026 +43
To the best of my knowledge the TSA doesn’t straight up murder random innocent people, so they’ve got that going for them.
43
Prior_Coyote_4376 Mar 25, 2026 +61
The TSA has never made me throw my weed out and in my mind that’s the rule of thumb of whether to hate someone as a tool of the state or sympathize with them as a fellow wage slave
61
egotistdown Mar 25, 2026 +47
>never made me throw my weed out Now Officer Rabbit and I are going to stand here while you smoke the whole bag....!
47
jungl3j1m Mar 25, 2026 +95
One aspect of this that I haven’t seen mentioned is that this is union busting.
95
VxGB111 Mar 25, 2026 +9
Is TSA unionized? I didn't know that
9
g2g079 Mar 25, 2026 +11
They haven't been since the DHS ended it in March of last year.
11
NobodySpeci Mar 25, 2026 +166
Not to mention that those same TSA agents aren’t getting paid, and republicans just refused to reinstate their pay without passing the “never let anyone vote” bill they call the save act. My local airport is cancelling flights left and right because so many TSA have quit they can’t run the airport.
166
PlayfulSurprise5237 Mar 25, 2026 +51
Not only aren't they getting paid, even if they were they aren't getting paid as much as these goons who are standing around with each others dicks in their hands.
51
GriffinFlash Mar 25, 2026 +106
Didn't stop the TSA from narc-ing on travellers to ICE. F*** them all.

[Hundreds are already resigning](https://www.aerotime.aero/articles/tsa-agents-officers-resign-new-dhs-head-markwayne-mulli) — NOT just calling out sick, as was the initial strategy, full on leaving at this point More power to them I say
15
sparkax Mar 25, 2026 +9
Not only are they actually getting paid for standing around and doing nothing, they are getting paid like 30K more a year that the TSA agents to do it!!!!
9
Equivalent-Excuse-80 Mar 25, 2026 +61
Maybe ICE isn’t there to intimidate us, it’s to keep TSA working as slaves
61
wiithepiiple Mar 25, 2026 +63
Privatizing the TSA is one of the goals of Project 2025. Underfunding the TSA, consistent government shutdowns, and making their work ways more stressful with ICE is going to have TSA worker shortages, proving the Republican refrain that government agencies are ineffective and should be privatized.
63
unholycowgod Mar 25, 2026 +60
I mean f*** TSA used to be 1000 private orgs. Prior to 9/11, each airport hired and operated their own security personnel. The security had to be compliant with FAA requirements but the people and equipment were all part of the airport. Then everyone went security crazy and TSA was created to consolidate it all under one federal umbrella that we never needed.
60
HotFuzz37 Mar 25, 2026 +20
Yeah I was gonna say, I remember when we used to fly before the TSA existed, and we still can. TSA sure isn't the one causing planes to crash into helicopters or fire engines on the tarmac. While they're all quitting, just dismandle the damn org and let each airport handle their own again.
20
Equivalent-Excuse-80 Mar 25, 2026 +42
The TSA has always been a bloated and useless bureaucratic addition to help Americans feel safer after a brief panic in 2001. They are unnecessary. They should be dismantled, not privatized. But here we are, constantly pushing money into the hands of corporate investors, instead of making America safer and more efficient.
42
unclewomie Mar 25, 2026 +5
To professionalize you must federalize. Remember that line of horeseshit?
5
PunfullyObvious Mar 25, 2026 +30
Among the reasons ICE is being used in this case is to normalize them as trump's secret police so when it comes time for them do what they will be asked to do at the polls it will be more readily accepted. Not unlike how TSA is around as much to normalize the police state as to conduct security theatre ... which was a win-win for the terrorists as well as the police state.
30
Catspaw129 Mar 25, 2026 +20
The answer is obvious: \- TSA agent (not being paid) quits \- Former TSA agent hires on at ICE, at twice their formerly salary and actually gets a paycheck (and don't forget that signing bonus!) \- New ICE agent, having TSA training, is deplyed to an airport to do TSA stuff. TaDa!
20
rkb70 Mar 25, 2026 +9
That's what I was thinking. How about we pay TSA, who are actually doing something, and furlough ICE, since they have nothing to do?
9
scr33ner Mar 25, 2026 +7
40% of TSA agents at Houston are not showing up per NPR.

6
CosmackMagus Mar 25, 2026 +6
If ICE agents are doing literally nothing there, then I'd like to present them with the award for most improved agency.
6
Tityfan808 Mar 25, 2026 +4
‘We don’t have the ability to pay the TSA to do their job but we are somehow capable of paying someone else to do the job’ is a really shitty look, at least for anyone with half a brain. I hope this only wakes more people up to how crooked this administration is.
4
TaosMesaRat Mar 25, 2026 +3
About that.... DHS funding was shut off. If TSA and CBP aren't getting paid, how is ICE getting paid?
3
metalmilitia182 Mar 25, 2026 +10
ICE funding was included in trumps Big Bullshit Bill, so they get to sit comfortably with their paychecks for years I believe regardless of any of the usual government funding fuckery.
10
curien Mar 25, 2026 +4
They're currently funded under different appropriations even though they're part of the same agency.

AlabamaHotcakes Mar 25, 2026 +233
Yup, watch him deploy his goons at voting locations next. This is just to keep them busy until then.
233
gpouliot Mar 25, 2026 +110
It's a lot more serious than that. There's no way they simply stand around and do nothing. They will actively interfere in the voting process under the guise of pretending to try and remove illegals. They're already laying the groundwork for being able to detain anyone they want based on their skin color or the language they're speaking. They will continue to use those same profiling techniques to pull out random Americans some voting lines who happen to fit the profile. Since they're not being stopped from doing it now, there's nothing that will stop them from doing it during the election.
110
Prophet_Of_Helix Mar 25, 2026 +29
It doesn’t matter if they do anything or not. Just having them there WILL discourage people, yes even completely legal voters, from going to the voter locations.

That’s ok. We need someone to taunt while waiting in line to vote. Helps time go by.

57
cassy_supernova Mar 25, 2026 +54
On the way out of the voting booth, I'm down. If they deprive someone of their constitutional rights, and the election is not rigged, the victim(s) are entitled to a payout via Section 1983 lawsuit. Let's say the election mysteriously goes the wrong way, then at least I take a final stand as an American with dignity. Whatever prison I end up in will not be truly American. Not the same America I served in the US Army 2007-2015.
54
talor_swib Mar 25, 2026 +19
You think anyone in charge cares enough to give payouts to citizens who didn't get to vote? When they are actively trying to prevent people from voting? They don't follow the law.
19
forthewatch39 Mar 25, 2026 +17
A payout? Who does that hurt? Not the one who is responsible. I for one am tired of us taxpayers being on the hook. Time to make the individuals and their unions that protect them be financially responsible. We won’t see any change until that happens.

The police badge that came with the toy police sets that you can buy at Dollar Stores is more credible than ICE badges.
3
Asleep_Document9811 Mar 25, 2026 +29
Still matters, just not now. If we survive this, a list of ICE employees with mugshots will appear, and we will at least know who was assigned to this duty, along with their badge number. That's an important link for investigation later. People found Jan 6ers with less.

Persea_americana Mar 25, 2026 +799
Steve Bannon was saying ICE in airports was a test run for the election. Time and again the only silver lining to this administration’s actions is the incredible ineptitude and incompetence. ICE is untrained, overpaid and incapable of handling even the simplest of tasks and pretending to work. Bringing in ICE costs 10x more than just paying TSA. This is an incredibly effective way to make everyone hates ICE even more, further destroy tourism and highlights republicans inability to budget, plan or think.
799
NewMidwest Mar 25, 2026 +139
It’s too bad we elected Trump instead of Harris.

Republicans don't care if the voters hate this and turn against them. They don't plan to leave. Everyone assumes that a coup would be well-organized and slick, but it is almost always a bunch of losers who overwhelm everyone else with their violence and stupidity.
6

Removing TSA increases the likelihood of t3rrorist attack on American soil, which would be the perfect pretext for suspended elections.
4
sexeveg314 Mar 25, 2026 +995
This would be a great opportunity to discreetly photograph them, unmasked and with badge numbers visible. We'll need this kind of evidence for the trials.

I was recently terminated and have some free time. Maybe I should go to the airport for some photography?
437
sexeveg314 Mar 25, 2026 +303
Discreetly. Remember these are mostly violent white supremacists that the Orange Fuckwit has armed and given carte blanche. The DOJ is also going after people for daring to identify their masked murderers.

25
Terry-Scary Mar 25, 2026 +16
Put your phone in lock down mode then go to the airport and take pics and vid or leave your phone at home and take a different camera. They will be scanning the shit out of your phone

106
TaylorMonkey Mar 25, 2026 +31
It also seems like they’re deploying the crop of fresh new desperate hires to airports. There’s the pair of cringey high school looking dorks at LaGuardia and the two at SFO had a certain local feel about them that didn’t seem like hardened ICE jackoffs. They might just be people cosplaying ICE for all you know.

Delta suspending special services for members of Congress is probably more powerful than anything.

Air Traffic Controllers, Pilots, and Flight Attendants could refuse to work due to safety conditions. TSA understaffing jeopardizes safe checks for terrorists (amidst a war with Iran - a regime known to plant bombs on planes).
72
theAltRightCornholio Mar 25, 2026 +10
Delta does ICE rendition flights, I'm sure this is only to hassle democrats.
10
Orb_Gazer Mar 25, 2026 +15
If Delta’s goal is to put asses in seats, and a deadlocked Congress is impeding that, I don’t see suspension of service as a partisan move. As awful as providing rendition flights is, it’s not inconsistent with the company’s interest in making short-term profit.
15
FlyFisherman4Life Mar 25, 2026 +114
Great line: 'Republicans are already expecting heavy losses in November’s midterm elections, and having a president who is actively making air travel hellish will likely only make it worse. This seems obvious, and yet Trump seems pleased with Linda’s whole “make airports suck for everyone” plan.'
114
ArtOfWarlick Mar 25, 2026 +108
Bullshit. Project 2025, page 159. 1. Starve the TSA until it ‘fails.’ 2. Use ‘force multipliers’ (ICE) to normalize armed enforcement in airports. 3. Push for total privatization to kill the federal union.

I wonder if Tom Homan will be held responsible if another plane gets hijacked and ran into another building. Just kidding, I know he wont. And I wouldn't be surprised if a few of these psychopaths are actually hoping for this.
1
GnosticDoomsayer Mar 25, 2026 +69
The most darkly ironic part about this is that the reason the government is shut down is **because of ICE**. Democrats are demanding common sense reforms… like no more masks… you gotta use actual judicial warrants, not the “administrative” ones where it’s just another ICE agent scribbling “go for it” to his friends, oh and badges. Democrats want agents of the state who are detaining human beings to have to identify themselves. Imagine that. Oh and also, body cameras. So dems want ICE to act like an actual law enforcement agency instead of Trump’s personal mafia, and Republicans said no, so the entire DHS is shut down, and TSA agents have not been paid for over a month now…. And Trump’s big solution? Bolster the trained yet unpaid TSA agents, with wildly overpaid completely untrained ICE agents. This country feels like a f****** circus act.
69
Cancel_Culture_Club Mar 25, 2026 +32
Also because Trump said he won’t pass anything at all until democrats pass the SAVE act. [And he just keeps telling everyone how he personally is the one intentionally holding everything up](https://www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/trump-no-dhs-funding-save-america-act/). It does feel like a circus act and I’m so goddamn tired of all the rubes falling for the same shit over and over again from the demented carnival barker in charge of our country. 🤦🏻‍♀️

It's unlikely the USA is going to be a top tourist destination for many for a long time. American airports are unpleasant at the best of times and there is just no way I would want to be in close proximity to these agents who don't seem qualified or experienced enough to deal with large numbers of travellers during chaotic times.

warm_kitchenette Mar 25, 2026 +70
Especially since we know that TSA is passing on information to ICE, which happened recently in SFO. I especially can’t imagine traveling here for the FIFA crowds who face life-altering consequences if they dare to visit the US with brown skin and a foreign-sounding name.  Watch it at home, stay safe.

Backfires on who? His popularity? This guy wipe his ass with popularity. This is about conditioning the American people to get used to having ICE in every aspect of your life. Voting. Travel. School. Soon hospitals

findtheclue Mar 25, 2026 +23
I don't know, I think it could backfire in the morale of those ICE 'agents.' If I were standing in the airport near ICE, I don't think I'd be able to keep my mouth shut. Those guys must be feeling something from the scorn they will face in broader society, even if it's just all the dirty looks and disdain. That's not the worst thing to me. Let them face it while not always in a giant pack.
23
Cute-Interest3362 Mar 25, 2026 +6
I was at Newark today and line was wrapped around the terminal and ICE was just standing there with their arms crossed. Just observing our misery.
6
Significant-Repair42 Mar 25, 2026 +30
I find it really weird that they are all weaponed out. If you were a terrorist, and needed a gun/weapons, wouldn't it be easier to get one off one of these guys vs. trying to get past security with it? Isn't that one of reasons that tsa agents doin't typically carry guns/weapons? Or maybe I'm over thinking it.
30
broguequery Mar 25, 2026 +5
They are basically cosplaying. There is zero need for heavy weapons and body armor when you are enforcing minor immigration infractions. It's about fear, really.
5
Ok_Efficiency7245 Mar 25, 2026 +24
They just made a mega thread over at the TSA for all of this drama. Took him a while but it makes sense. The problem is if you say anything negative about ICE (ICE sucks was an example they gave) They're deleting the comment. So if you go over to the TSA sub it's all pro ICE stuff and deleted comments. People are migrating over to the FED employees sub now.
24
DT-Sodium Mar 25, 2026 +40
Isn't this like a giant win for the rest of the people? While those morons are playing being useless at airports they are not shooting random citizens in the street for no reason. And if you're a foreigner flying into the US, well... don't? If you're flying for business, do it over the Internet. If you're flying to see your family, it's sad but it's a small sacrifice to make to end Trump's nazi regime.
40
RileyJ1975 Mar 25, 2026 +12
I agree with this comment. Also think that TSA has a lot of power to protest right now. They should band together and not work.
12
aMONAY69 Mar 25, 2026 +11
Thanks to Reagan, it's illegal for them to do so.
11
RileyJ1975 Mar 25, 2026 +9
Illegal, smellegal. In this timeline? It’s illegal to have employees work without pay as well, isn’t it? I know they are supposed to get back pay, but come on, the president is saying “no deals with democrats”. I would wager that they have a reasonable defense that the government might not ever open back up. Are they supposed to work until November without pay?

43
RileyJ1975 Mar 25, 2026 +12
Damn. I didn’t think about it like that. Seriously, I hate to see people work without pay. That sucks. But I think they should just quit. That’s the mass protest we are looking for. At least one that matters. It would move the needle. I mean they aren’t getting paid right now anyway.

I wonder if Americans stop flying less if the airline execs will take notice and start demanding that their puppet fix this shit. Good on Delta for suspending the special treatment (bad that they helped ice sport people), but we need to hear from more annoyed rich people before Trump will listen.

If the TSA dont need machine guns to keep airports safe and secure, why do ICE agents look like they are about to invade Iran? Are they that scared of the average American person that they need to hide like cowards behind their huge guns? Or are they compensating for something else thats small and sad?

>the MAGA coalition has not been known for its logic >Early reports show ICE is doing nothing to speed up security lines, many of which have [hours-long waits](https://www.usatoday.com/story/travel/2026/03/23/ice-tsa-airport-security-line-waits/89283422007/) due to Republicans’ refusal to pass a Democratic proposal to fund the TSA directly while still withholding DHS funding. The presence of ICE is instead ratcheting up tensions at the already stress-laden airports
6
Lesssensethanlogic2 Mar 25, 2026 +5
I read that it’s to get the union TSA agents to quit in order to privatize. Take it with a grain of salt.
5
AcanthisittaNo6653 Mar 26, 2026 +1
>Whatever hand-waving Bannon might do to deny the implication — that ICE would intimidate voters into casting their ballots for Republicans or, more likely, staying away from the polls altogether — it’s clear to both his audience and critics. The goal is not to make life easier for anyone, but to make everyday actions like voting or traveling a terrible, if not terrifying, idea. Even with independents, long TSA lines and ICE in airports hardens the resolve to vote Democrat. It doesn't make it terrifying, it makes it necessary. This chaos won't end by itself.

Dedpoolpicachew Mar 26, 2026 +1

I consider the ICE agents who showed up to basically invalidate the TSA agents concerns scabs. It’s the same as if TSA was striking and these guys crossed the picket line.

It hasn't backfired yet. The GOP is still in power and I have yet to meet a Trump voter wouldn't continue to kiss his ass and vote for him and his cronies again.
5
GluggGlugg Mar 25, 2026 +13
Last week, an apolitical traveler could have been forgiven for asking: "Why should TSA funding be dependent on reforming ICE?" By deploying ICE to airports, Trump has directly linked ICE to the TSA issue. He's showing again how the agency has become his personal political militia. That's better leverage for the Democrats.
13
Bronzeshadow Mar 25, 2026 +9
I have no love for the TSA in the same way I have no love for the meter maid that tickets my car. They're an annoyance but I understand why they exist. F*** ICE. ICE is a cancer and needs to go.
9
LRK0-98 Mar 25, 2026 +9
>The presence of ICE is instead ratcheting up tensions at the already stress-laden airports. Federal immigration officers can’t do the real work of screening passengers, but they can harass and manhandle people suspected of being immigrants. >The message seems to be that if Democrats don’t immediately cave to the GOP, Trump will make airline travel even more miserable for everyone. I hope the democrats hold out this time, tho cuck-schumer is probably salivating at the chance to get a promise out of the gop for a vote or something that will neither help americans nor do anything good for voters.

FlyFisherman4Life Mar 25, 2026 +5
I bet ICE agents are equally pissed about over priced airport food.
5
Wiley_dog25 Mar 25, 2026 +3
What is the point of this? They can't pass the SAVE act, we've heard reports Trump wants "less visible" confrontations with ICE. What is the actual logic behind this? Who does it benefit?
3
Rice_Daddy Mar 25, 2026 +3
I'm actually a bit impressed that they stopped wearing masks at the airport.
3
prodigalpariah Mar 25, 2026 +3
It doesn't matter how incompetent, pointless or violent they get. It's just to normalize their constant presence in society being used for anything the president can think of. People will grow numb to it and the GOP will continue boiling the frog.

4
espresso_martini__ Mar 25, 2026 +4
I was just in Houston and Miami airports. ICE were there and did nothing to help. TSA were stressed and yelling at people. I don't blame them, they haven't been paid in a month and they still turn up to keep things moving. If you are traveling please understand what they are going through. Lines will be long but they are still trying and not getting paid for it.
4
goody82 Mar 25, 2026 +5
I love the idea of ICE deployed to the airports because they have to be seen, then interact with the public without the shield of SUVs, masks, pepper spray, etc. instead of faceless storm troopers you have obese, rough, inarticulate people clearly betraying the prestige of a three letter agency. It hurts ICE image to be placed into the daylight illuminated atriums of airports amongst the voting public.
5
brezhnervouz Mar 26, 2026 +5
>The idea appears to have started during call-in segments on right-wing radio shows. >This is no exaggeration. >Journalists Ben Smith of Semafor and Brian Stelter of CNN traced the ICE-in-airports idea to “Linda from Arizona,” who called into a D-list conservative radio show hosted by Clay Travis and Buck Sexton on March 20. Both Linda and the hosts were blunt that the goal was not actually helping the Transportation Security Administration run more efficient checkpoints but to trigger the liberals. >“I think it would set their hair on fire,” Linda said, full of glee at the idea. >“Democrats would go absolutely insane,” agreed one of the hosts. Government via 4chan seems to be going swimmingly 🤡

elcheapodeluxe Mar 26, 2026 +1
If there is one thing ICE had proved it isn't competent at, it's checking someone's ID.
1
cra2ytig3r Mar 26, 2026 +1
Over-paid Ice agents standing around doing nothing at all. While the TSA agent is working harder then had to before all while not getting paid. In case anyone didn't know, the Democrats had offered up clean bills to fund the TSA that the Republicans rejected. Also the Republicans have control of all branches of goverment. If the goverment is not running its solely because republicans don't know how to.
1
BlackbirdSage Mar 25, 2026 +18
ICE isn't allowed to cover their faces, while on assignment in airports... We should be going to the airports and getting photos of all of their faces. ...for the trials, later.

AmbivelentApoplectic Mar 25, 2026 +13
I'm not convinced that bringing ICE into one of the most surveiled environments to work is a great idea. They mess about hassling on the street thats one thing but when there are 10 cameras watching their every action then it will be a disaster. So much money is going to be paid out on settlements related to this idiocy.
13
MentalSky_ Mar 25, 2026 +10
The trolls are out in force across social media claiming ICE has been a day one success and now customs takes 2 minutes and ICE agents are helping old ladies carry their luggage and sing sweet lullabies to calm crying in their parents arms.

This is all a coordinated effort to get TSA privatized. It’s all part of Project 25. Musk tweeted he would pay the salaries of the TSA agents. Not out of the kindness of his own heart but planting the seeds of buying the agency.

Since ice is so dysfunctional and full of people that weren't trained, I feel like it would be easy for somebody to just go to the airport and pretend to be one. And if that happens that's obviously a huge security breach. Do they have any identifying identification? Because even the Badges don't have numbers
