This fits in perfectly with all of the expensive high def surveillance cameras going up all over streets and highways in America to "Make America Safe Again". I'd rather take my chances, thank you.

It's Trump's personal police force and he's showing that he will use them well beyond the defined mission of ICE. Thinking that Trump will somehow show restraint in that US, with upcoming elections, seems naive. This is an authoritarian state. We've well past issues of democracy and this is just regime building.
