Yeah but like. I want to hear about her day, y'know? Yeah I know she's doing menial labour like the rest of us but I want to hear her talk about her joys and her sorrows from her time.

Honestly, my first thought was one of the Christmases in the 90s with my dad’s side of the family. Huge, chaotic, music, food, funny traditions (a stolen wooden road sign was awarded to someone each year). Now my 30ish cousins are old enough some of their kids have kids, so there’s no more giant gatherings.
All the big historical things people are saying would be cool to see, but no one would believe you that it’s real.

Hobart Zoo in the 1930s and film the last Tasmanian Tiger in HD, with audio.
All the surviving footage of them is silent. We may never know what they sounded like.

I think I’d go back to my own childhood there’s something really special about capturing those small, everyday moments that feel so ordinary at the time but turn out to be unforgettable. Just a minute of playing, laughing, or being with family would be incredible to look back on. It’s like freezing a piece of pure nostalgia that you can revisit anytime.

probably woodstock '69. not even for the music honestly, just to see what that crowd actually looked like from inside. every photo makes it look either magical or disgusting and i need to know which one it really was
alternatively, catching freddie mercury at live aid. even the existing footage gives me chills, can't imagine what a raw phone video from the crowd would feel like
