If you discovered that your father had been married before your mother and has children and another family, what would your reaction be?

I did discover that. I said "thats interesting" to myself and never thought about it again. They were a part of his past, not mine. 

My parents are dead, so that’d extra weird. Do my new relations have a shit ton of money? That would be nice.

Astonishment and Intense curiosity, while hoping that my newly discovered step-siblings & their mother are nice, decent people and not problematic (like our father might be, apparently.)

that would be a huge shock, honestly. i’d probably have a ton of questions and need to process how that changes everything i thought i knew about my family.

My parents divorced when I was 17. When I was 27 my wife found a marriage certificate for my dad from a few years before my mom So been there!! No kids but I lived it He claims she became an alcoholic after marriage My mom said ‘he gaslit me and his family all lied about it’ Hes a few marriages later now and still likes to lie about his romantic status.
