Yep! I’m married to my husband for the second time. I always tell him I like him way better than my first husband. We were only divorced for a short time (and we were in counseling while divorced), but we needed that line in the sand to close the door on some nasty patterns in our relationship. She was done with that part of her life and I still wanted to experience it. It also hurt that she was married and unhappy and living in another state.

I agree. I'm in a 13 year relationship, but if we ever broke up for mutual or respectful reasons, I could see us sleeping together in the future sometimes. Besides, we'd already know how to f*** each other.

My ex from 12 years ago recently reached out, freshly divorced and not looking for anything but a good time. I'm very happily single, and have been for years, with no intention of changing that. We had a very adult talk about boundaries, what this was going to be, and if people asked, what we'd say. 2 months in now, and we meet up once a week, fool around a whole bunch, go meet up with some friends for karaoke, then fool around for a few more hours. Then she goes home and we sparsely text each other until it happens again the next week. It's been great. There's 0 commitment or expectation, and we're both very happy leading our own separate lives and have something to look forward to every week.

Right? I did this with an ex-husband after we had been broken up for almost 2 years. We both knew we weren't getting back together and it was just some casual fun when we were both single. We both just called it friends with benefits. We were looking for relationships so it just kind of "ended", without anything negative. We're still good friends though he has had a common law partner now for many years.

I've had a few ex-sex casual flings/fwb over the years, and remain friends with them too. I do have a couple of terrible exes who I never want to see again, but yeah most breakups were generally amicable.
