Think everyone saw this coming. Way too long between seasons, a creator that hasnt really proven that they can write, public has turned on some of the cast.

ChickenInASuit Apr 8, 2026 +595
> public has turned on some of the cast. Hey, quick question - I know Sydney Sweeney has had her controversies, are there any others? Or is that “some of” just her? EDIT: FYI, I have absolutely zero interest in engaging in a debate over how valid the controversies are re: Sydney Sweeney. I made this comment asking for information, and acknowledged the Sweeney stuff to make it clear I already knew about it. That's where my current interest in her, and the debates over her, begin and end. Save the hot takes for somebody else, you are going to get no response from me.

at most, people claim Zendaya is in too many things. But when an actor hits a big stride, it’s smart to strike while the iron is s hot

MongoBongoTown Apr 9, 2026 +41
..especially a young woman. Hollywood eats you up and spits you out more often than not as you get a little older. Get that bag now.
41
Jesse1198 Apr 8, 2026 +615
She’s not in too many things. But people think that because the things she DOES do are the biggest movies rn
615
el_palmera Apr 8, 2026 +259
She has 3 movies this year and the show. That's much more than she normally has
259
Sammyd1108 Apr 8, 2026 +448
4 movies, The Drama, The Odyssey, Spiderman, and Dune 3, then of course Euphoria. She’s about to have an absolute monster year.
448
Juanouo Apr 8, 2026 +216
also not just any movies, but probably 3 of the top 5 grossing films of this year + a critical darling film
216
No_Significance7064 Apr 8, 2026 +19
damn, and she's still not in the highest grossing actors list. wonder if that'll change soon.
19
Business-Drag52 Apr 9, 2026 +33
She’s competing against people that have had decades long careers and an entire MCU under their belt. She’ll get there, but it’ll take time.
33
ccable827 Apr 9, 2026 +4
I wonder how much she's getting for each film. She's huge but still young, so idk if she can ask as much as someone like scarjo, or Hathaway can ask for.
4
DinerEnBlanc Apr 8, 2026 +78
She’s aware that she’s seeing a solid amount of screen time this year, stating that she hoped people doesn’t get sick of her, but she also stated that she won’t be doing any projects for awhile after this year. Maybe she’s gonna have a kid with Tom or something?
78
Top_Shower_7869 Apr 8, 2026 +59
She’s going back under cover as KC.
59
Chemical-Struggle-13 Apr 8, 2026 +6
I would love to see a reunion season of that show, but she would probably want a year without movies and TV at least to get over the perceived fatigue.
6
Sammyd1108 Apr 8, 2026 +8
Actors say that all the time though, so we’ll see.
8
dabocx Apr 8, 2026 +43
They usually mean it but they see it from the perspective of their shooting schedule. So they might film 3 movies in 2023 or something and not film anything else till 2025 or 26. So from their perspective they took 2 years off. But those 3 movies released over 2 years anyway. So the public looks like at them like "what break?"
43
anactualrealaccount Apr 9, 2026 +3
A mate of mine does tv and movies and I realised this with him. There is shit he films that I don’t see come out for like a year or more later and he’s already back filming season 2 lol

11
wrong_again Apr 8, 2026 +2
Considering she’s talked about imminent retirement yeah probably
2
president_lick Apr 9, 2026 +2
Shrek 5 in December as well!
2
PM_ME_YOUR__INIT__ Apr 8, 2026 +31
She had zero movies in 2022 and 2023. It just comes in waves
31
LazloHollifeld Apr 8, 2026 +21
Maybe, but she inked a three season deal for Euphoria before 2018 when she was a nobody. Now HBO wants to get the max value out of hers and Sweeney’s contracts.
21
ididntunderstandyou Apr 8, 2026 +33
But actors have no say on when their projects release. Them coming out over a short period of time can be a coincidence.
33
riegspsych325 Apr 8, 2026 +15
I like to think The Drama, Odyssey, and ⊃∪∩3 are all part of a loosely connected trilogy with Zendaya and Pattinson as the leads
15
MariachiMacabre Apr 8, 2026 +40
But also like… she’s VERY good. It’s not like she’s doing blockbuster after blockbuster. Stuff like Challengers and The Drama are really excellent showcases of her skills and while Dune absolutely is a blockbuster in its scope, it’s a very intelligent series. The industry absolutely needs to give more opportunities to more people but I’m not going to pretend she’s not extremely talented and fun on screen.
40
In_My_Own_Image Apr 8, 2026 +25
True. Though, I do think Dune is her weakest performance. Though I'm not sure if that's because she's so thoroughly overshadowed by every other performance (and, IMO, she kinda sticks out among the Fremen characters since she has no accent).
25
egamruf Apr 8, 2026 +11
"she kinda sticks out... since she has no accent" A classic comment for r/USdefaultism
11
spawnthespy Apr 8, 2026 +18
Even she claimed she was in too much things this year. She's a good actress though, and tends to get good roles, so I don't mind and we shouldn't overall.
18
ChalupaBatmanMc01 Apr 8, 2026 +5
I agree, she doesn't bother me at all. I think if social media were around in the 90's folks would have complained about Leo being everywhere after Titanic.
5
Demerzel69 Apr 8, 2026 +99
lol yeah. god forbid an actor ACT. Zendaya is an incredible actor and a two-time Emmy w***** *for her role on this show*.
99
riegspsych325 Apr 8, 2026 +30
and it’s not like anyone is ever forced to watch anything against their will

And a few guys at Guantanamo Bay were forced to watch Mamma Mia! on loop for three days straight
2
Scared_Wrangler3419 Apr 8, 2026 +9
Right? I'm genuinely indifferent to Zendaya, as she's not often in things I watch; but when you're in demand (in any field) you make hay while the sun shines. Also there's always a new "IT GIRL" around the corner. Get that paper whilst you can.

he didn’t hit it big until his 40’s when he was already acting for several years, I don’t blame him for keeping the momentum going
17
chickenhouse Apr 8, 2026 +3
No such thing. If she was in Howard the duck I’d watch it.
3
Swimming_Onion_4835 Apr 12, 2026 +3
You definitely have to, things change so damn much in the industry, especially with influencing being SO interwoven into every damn decision made nowadays, there’s always the very real risk that any break away from work will lead people to forget shout you or leave it open for someone else to take your place. I don’t think that’s going to happen to Zendaya, because she really is so incredibly talented imo, but that doesn’t make that amorphous threat feel any less real. Especially for young women, like u/MongoBongoTown said.
3
ChickenInASuit Apr 8, 2026 +5
Thanks, I had an inkling people feeling Zendaya’s a little overexposed was gonna be a factor but didn’t wanna assume.
5
riegspsych325 Apr 8, 2026 +13
she may be in 3 movies with Pattinson alone this year but it’s not like she’s forcing herself into these projects or phoning it in
13
spaceandthewoods_ Apr 8, 2026 +15
It's funny that people are talking about her being overexposed this year whilst mentioning that she's in 3 movies with Pattinson in the same breath...and he won't get any heat about being in too many movies 😄
15
elbenji Apr 9, 2026 +6
Tbf he already had his moment under that heat a decade ago
6
AssCrackBanditHunter Apr 8, 2026 +11
You know, I think unlike Pedro Pascal, Zendaya has managed to avoid the eye rolling "you're casting them again?". Not sure why but despite her being in like 4 movies this year and euphoria she doesn't feel like she's being stunt casted or building up that same negativity.
11
FrameworkisDigimon Apr 9, 2026 +5
It's because Listnook likes Dune and (at least, nowadays) Nolan. That's it. That's the only reason. When Pascal, Sweeney, the Rock or whoever else r/movies comes at for being cast too much what they're really saying is "I don't want to watch any of these movies". And in the case of the Rock (and in the last year Sweeney but the "she's in too much stuff" narrative was pre-jeans) there's also a strong dose of "we hate this person so everything they do is bad".

Zendaya and Jacob Elordi overexposure but that's about it
137
aboysmokingintherain Apr 8, 2026 +46
I wouldn't say overexposure is them being turned on. If anything, they have outgrown their roles.
46
Chataboutgames Apr 8, 2026 +13
Overexposure is the first step. Once you hit peak overexposure people find something (maybe real, maybe deeply stupid) to be mad about and turn on you.
13
ChickenInASuit Apr 8, 2026 +26
Ah yes, the Jennifer Lawrence effect. Became a huge star overnight, appeared in tons of stuff, was widely loved for a period of time, and then The Fappening happened and her response to it made a bunch of silly people really mad.
26
Chataboutgames Apr 8, 2026 +21
Exactly. See also people deciding they hated Anne Hathaway or Lin Manuel Miranda.
21
ChickenInASuit Apr 8, 2026 +13
It’s kinda surprising it hasn’t happened to Emma Stone yet, tbh. Maybe she’s just that good, or has chosen her projects wisely enough, that people haven’t found reason to turn on her yet. Or maybe she’s just plain lucky.
13
Chataboutgames Apr 8, 2026 +33
She took a right turn in to weird ass performances, which I think is an off ramp. When your career becomes more about your acting/willingness to make art and less about you being marketable and charming I think it functions as a bit of a release valve. She's around all the time, but I don't think Yorgos movies have the kind of press tours that, say, a romcom would.
33
sib2972 Apr 8, 2026 +10
It also didn’t have the “overnight” effect. JLaw was nowhere and then everywhere. Emma Stone had been around for years before she became as common as she is now. People remember her from Superbad and Easy A and a whole bunch of other movies from that era. Then she did Spider-Man before pivoting to Oscar-nominated oddball movies and Cruella which is where her appearances become more common. But having nearly a decade of a career in the mainstream before that makes it seem less spontaneous and overwhelming. People are used to her already

didn't the fappening happened mid stride, like between oscars and she still had quite a long way to go before she stopped for a while and returned to smaller films?
3
PunAboutBeingTrans Apr 8, 2026 +19
idk if overexposure is really people turning on them, they're both still great actors and they haven't done anything bad. It's kinda funny bc every major actor has had a period where they're in seemingly every movie for a time. That's kinda just how it works
19
elros_faelvrin Apr 8, 2026 +4
1994 to 2001 and some change with Jim Carey Just 94 alone right off In Living Color putting 3 banger movies in a single year.
4
optimusgrime23 Apr 8, 2026 +5
Zendaya was in a total of 0 movies in 2025 and 2 movies since 2022 lol
5
Pale_Possibility5083 Apr 8, 2026 +57
This was always a great cast and great art direction in search of a show. There was never any there there and this is just more of that.
57
wiklr Apr 9, 2026 +3
I really loved that episode of Zendaya and Coleman Domingo in the diner. Lexi's play is also amazing. It has no real identity but it is sure entertaining whichever direction it went.
3
Global-Discussion-41 Apr 8, 2026 +5
Totally agree, but the first 2 seasons were still really entertaining.  I just hope the third can keep it up
5
bluehawk232 Apr 8, 2026 +9
And they ditched the one character as well. Show is just so nuts it's like a car crash you can't look away. Still can't get over how that high school play looked lol
9
Ajwad6969 Apr 9, 2026 +2
Like at this point its was plenty obvious that Levine's team did all the work, from art to story. A lot of them left because he is a raging a******, even Labyrinth. Its just softcore p*** at this point, and the subject matter just makes me uncomfortable at this point.
2
NottheArkhamKnight Apr 8, 2026 +396
The one character I liked the most in this show was Fezco, and with Angus Cloud unfortunately passed on, I don't have the drive to keep up with this show. Funny how in a cast of absolute assholes, the one mostly decent character was the drug dealer.
396
zeldasusername Apr 9, 2026 +102
Fez AND Ashtray The best episode in the whole show was the origins story in season 2

Oh man, how could I forget my boy Ashtray 😢
22
Wonderbread421 Apr 9, 2026 +12
My favorite line was from Fezco. “You’re confused? I’m f****** confused bro!”

After The Idol Levinson just stuck too deep in his own ass.
817
OrangeFilmer Apr 8, 2026 +398
The Idol was hilarious. Will never get the mental image of The Weeknd deadpan saying “fuckin’ stretch that tiny lil p****” out of my head.

Or when he said “make that throat all wet for me” like… what?? If your throat isn’t already naturally wet you should be concerned

Probably because it was being written shortly after Jared Leto had that cult-y island festival.

72
littlemachina Apr 8, 2026 +148
The show felt like an elaborate plot for The Weeknd and Sam Levinson to get Lily Rose Depp naked as much as possible (similar to Euphoria with Sydney Sweeney)
148
seventy912 Apr 9, 2026 +26
I remember being vaguely interested in the show then heard there was a scrapped scene idea including an egg in her v***** and some type of r*** fantasy and any curiosity I had died real quick. Sam Levinson’s a f****** creep.
26
littlemachina Apr 9, 2026 +28
There’s a weird scene where some chick is just walking around naked for no reason and then like getting off to Lily Rose and The Weeknd while they do freak shit. Then a couple episodes later she reveals she’s underage. It adds literally nothing to the plot and I have to wonder why he insists on having gratuitous teen nudity in his shows (even if the actors are obviously adult it’s just sus after a while)
28
AngryGardenGnomes Apr 9, 2026 +52
Lily Rose Depp seemed very keen. She wasn't some victim in this, ffs. Just some nepo who wanted to star in her own show.
52
Top_Report_4895 Apr 9, 2026 +27
She went all in on it.
27
AngryGardenGnomes Apr 9, 2026 +3
She thought it was going to be her meal ticket
3

There’s so much cum, and it’s all coming out of my p****… I can’t believe it EDIT: this was a meme image that came out while the show was airing for anybody confused and horrified at my comment
66
oath2order Apr 8, 2026 +23
Was that an actual quote from the show, or just someone making up something?
23
mahboilucas Apr 9, 2026 +5
I love that you are genuinely asking
5
oath2order Apr 9, 2026 +4
I mean I saw it as a meme, but I genuinely don't know if it's a real thing and I am not watching that show to find out.
4
Sammyd1108 Apr 8, 2026 +121
The Weeknd deserves some of the blame for that shit as well. Dude is also so far up his own ass, and he even doubled down with that trash movie of his that came out last year.
121
workfuntimecoolcool Apr 8, 2026 +48
I've only seen that clip of him yelling at Jenna Ortega and it's so, so, so bad.

It pops into my head at least once a week and it makes me giggle every time.

MD_FunkoMa Apr 8, 2026 +10
I went to see the film in Dolby Cinema. The music was good. It is also hilarious at being serious.
10
ScramItVancity Apr 8, 2026 +117
The series was a colossal f*** up after they fired Amy Seimetz in the middle of filming that they restarted from scratch. It also won an Emmy for choreography.
117
jondelreal Apr 8, 2026 +91
Man stole Petra Collins' aesthetic and then took over from Amy. Not even including the beef with Barbie Ferreira. Homeboy loves f****** over women.
91
MD_FunkoMa Apr 8, 2026 +21
Despite her recent filmography not making a lot of money, Barbie's doing fine with two known 2026 films coming out this weekend and on April 17th (the latter being released on that date in Canada).
21
Symmetrosexual Apr 8, 2026 +22
I can’t get over the name Barbie Ferreira, it’s a top tier celebrity name imo
22
Zimmonda Apr 8, 2026 +50
Oh it was such a mess. That final "You guys we ruined him!" is seared into my brain. For those who don't want to watch the show. Lily-Rose Depps character is a thinly veiled Miley Cyrus/Britney Spears pop star crashout looking to make a comeback. She connects with the Weeknds character who is a sleazy nightclub owner who has a cadre of performers for his club. They both enter a toxic relationship wherein the Weeknd tries to take over Depp's life and run it for her before eventually being stopped by her actual team of agents/managers. In the finale they claim to have "ruined him" and therefore vanquished The Weeknd from the music industry forever, you know, they guy who at the start of the show wasn't in the music industry at all.
50
FasterBussycat Apr 8, 2026 +17
Wasn’t there also a cult angle where someone was shocking Troye Sivan? I followed the Vulture recaps and I remember the penultimate episode sounding like American Horror Story but even more batshit stupid.
17
Zimmonda Apr 8, 2026 +12
Yea I didn't want to give a step by step overview but The Weeknd moves his cadre into Depps house to try and get them into the industry by riding off Depp's coattails and they have a crazy like "suffer for art!" cult showdown with the Depp crew.
12
riegspsych325 Apr 8, 2026 +88
that show came off as an excuse for Levinson to make more horny material but with a new cast so nobody could put their foot down on shooting n*** scenes
88

14

Uhh…he famously doesn’t remember writing the books he wrote at the height of his substance abuse, so I think at least *some* of his gray matter got destroyed.

Yeah, but they are bangers of books. Sober King never hit the heights of fucked up King.

PartyPay Apr 8, 2026 +8
He's written lots of good stuff since 1987.
8
SuitedFox Apr 9, 2026 +3
True, and I haven’t read every King yet. So, in my opinion, nothing quite hits the heights of Carrie, Salems Lot, The Shining, Pet Sematary, It and Misery. I know I’m in the minority, but I did not care for The Stand

GlamMetalLion Apr 8, 2026 +22
I always, lump in Sam Levinson, Max Landis and Jason Reitman as sons of big 80s directors with very gen x sounding names, but Jason seems like the only mostly unproblematic one. Also, Roman Coppola but he seems to be in a different lane to those and hasn't really directed movies much.
22
riegspsych325 Apr 8, 2026 +17
I’d say Reitman and Jake Kasdan are the ones who are actually talented and aware of their standing in the industry, same with Sofia Coppola
17
DeadWishUpon Apr 8, 2026 +5
I think he should've finish Euphoria and then do whatever crappy project he wanted. Now we have this crappy season without Angus.
5
TraditionalChampion3 Apr 8, 2026 +2
I'd say after Euphoria S1. I checked out of S2 as it became a high budget soap opera.
2
nicklovin508 Apr 8, 2026 +412
The trailers are so fuckin weird. It doesn’t seem at all to be the same show anymore lol. That said, regardless of reviews this will be the most talked about show while it’s airing
412
_Football_Cream_ Apr 8, 2026 +159
There was just no way they could continue making the same show. The actors aged up, some even died, it just can't be a high school drama anymore. The plots were always a bit ridiculous anyway. It's a spectacle show with the occasional standout episodes/performances (mostly those centered around Rue). But honestly it was always kinda silly to me.
159
password-is-taco1 Apr 8, 2026 +75
The first season was serious, I can’t think of anything that was ridiculous. The second season was 50/50, but the play at the end was absurd and completely took me out of it
75
ship__ Apr 8, 2026 +22
Both of the between S1&S2 episodes were really well written (Trouble Don't Last Always and F*** Anyone Who's Not a Sea Blob), I know Hunter Schafer helped write her episode of those 2 and I just generally really liked a whole Ali & Rue slow episode getting into some deep stuff
22
Ancient_Emu_6582 Apr 9, 2026 +5
One of the greatest dialogues in my opinion
5
ship__ Apr 9, 2026 +2
Yeah their semi-therapy sessions were some of my favourite scenes in S1 and having a whole slow burn episode dedicated towards that with some proper long shots and thoughtful dialogue shot it up to probably my favourite, haven't rewatched it though
2
Ancient_Emu_6582 Apr 9, 2026 +2
Yeah might not be a very rewatchable ep (I think I did once) but what dialogue ep could be, also I’ll 100% watch anytime I will rewatch the show like I will now with the new season
2
dBlock845 Apr 9, 2026 +2
The first season reminded me of a Bret Easton Ellis style story, idk what the second season was lol, never went back to it after I finished.
2
FasterBussycat Apr 8, 2026 +53
Yeah Sweeney, Zendaya, Elordi and Schafer all have huge fan bases independent of the show so I’m sure I’ll glean what happens every week from Twitter.
53
ogmarker Apr 8, 2026 +25
I don’t know - apart from the characters no longer being in high school and having that be a common ground for them, it still “feels” the same (from the trailers) Like, a drug dealer gets a hammer to the head in the first season after giving the lead character fentanyl (by like, an 11 year old, no less) and his murder cover up I believe rolls over into the second season plot. From the trailers, it looks like the same show ramped up to an 11 now that the characters are playing closer to the actors’ actual ages. Obviously losing the growing-up-adolescence angle is going to shift the storytelling (for better or worse), but it’s not like the show is suddenly 30 Rock.
25
Tumler0623 Apr 8, 2026 +7
It literally looks like fan fiction.
7
MD_FunkoMa Apr 8, 2026 +7
'Euphoria''s gone 'Breaking Bad' this year.
7
MattBrey Apr 8, 2026 +264
Lmaooo I was hoping they'd go balls to the walls crazy with it, considering season 2 did a bad job of keeping the serious high art theme of the first one. If it keeps the nonsensical writing and it's also boring, this'll be bad
264
CharlieTeller Apr 8, 2026 +104
I would hardly call the first season "high art". It was very creative, but it's definitely not high brow by any means. It was more of a dark edgy fantasy of what someone wishes their high school life was like. Technically it was beautiful, but that doesn't change the really edgelord style content. I loved season 1 and 2 but there's no doubt it was edgelordy.

This show is the definition of lipstick on a pig. Big budget production values and cinematography encasing unlikable characters, a wafer-thin plot, and laughably poor storytelling/writing. All style and no substance.

somersetyellow Apr 9, 2026 +17
The first season does evoke some kind of hyperbolic feeling. A kind of vibe and aesthetic more anything else. The actual writing goes nowhere at all and trying to think about the plot falls apart after 2 seconds, but that feeling still makes the show interesting to watch with its gorgeous visuals. And then there's season 2 and you're like oh. yeah. this is trash. I'm probably going to watch Season 3 for the gorgeous disaster it'll be...

finnjakefionnacake Apr 10, 2026 +2
i would strongly disagree that there' sn o substance -- a lot of the storyline around rue's drug addiction is really compelling and you can tell it comes from personal experiences as it's very real and raw and grounded. you could argue that a lot of the show is style, but saying no substance is just unfair/untrue.

Pythagore_ Apr 8, 2026 +28
Yeah like the writing was always super shoddy and not well thought out/planned, this show has never been good
28
eerie_midnight Apr 8, 2026 +18
It was good when I was 18…I’m 25 now. I’m not sure who this show is even supposed to be for at this point lmao

elbenji Apr 8, 2026 +83
Same. Like at least go full Harmony Korine
83
ILiveInAColdCave Apr 8, 2026 +34
No one can go full harmony. He's one of a kind.

dancingbriefcase Apr 9, 2026 +5
Ha season 2 of Friday Night Lights will always be hilarious in hindsight
5
Im_TroyMcClure Apr 8, 2026 +25
Watching the trailer all I could think was it looked like they took some hacky Euphoria fanfiction and made it into a show
25
LarBrd33 Apr 8, 2026 +18
Season 3 has a 59/100 on metacritic. That’s really bad for a tv show
18
HighMarshalSigismund Apr 8, 2026 +75
I look forward to highlights posted on r/WatchitforthePlot

planemissediknow Apr 8, 2026 +47
I learned a long time ago that Sam Levinson wasn’t for me, but it’s kind of a shame if this show is ending like this. I have my opinions on the writing but a lot of acting talent came through this show
47
GaryTheCabalGuy Apr 8, 2026 +117
Still going to watch it and not expecting much. Expect I'll be entertained while thinking it's kind of stupid
117
sliquonicko Apr 8, 2026 +16
Yep, I've gotta see show this plays out. If it makes me nervous a couple times I'll be happy. This show spikes my anxiety in a fun way and I think that's why I've kept watching this long anyway.
16
Dapper_Bass423 Apr 10, 2026 +2
That's how i feel about the boys. This and the boys season 5 are 2 shows I've been excited to see

Fluid-Cranberry1755 Apr 8, 2026 +13
I hated s1 but after watching the garbage that was s2 I thought I had been too harsh to s1. This season might be a skip
13
Rainbowdogi Apr 8, 2026 +11
I’ve read a comment that the trailer looks like those YouTube channels with fake AI movie trailers where every scene feels like a different movie and it fits so well.
11
Grungemaster Apr 8, 2026 +278
4/10 on IGN is like 1/10 on any other rating scale. This should be fun.
278
Watton Apr 8, 2026 +72
Not really At least for games, they actually do give lower ratings compared to other reviewers on average, at 71 per Metacritic
72
Number224 Apr 8, 2026 +10
Looking at IGN’s recent reviews from this year on Metacritic, they do seem to review a bit higher than the average score. There’s maybe the notable exception of how they gave Wuthering Heights a 3/10, but alot of their other reviews agree with the average or are 10-20% higher.
10
nicklovin508 Apr 8, 2026 +78
Eh IGN has been pretty ruthless for like a year now
78
RIPN1995 Apr 8, 2026 +10
Ign was bank on about Starfield
10
Servebotfrank Apr 9, 2026 +2
And their Crimson Desert review got memed for giving it a 7 and not finishing it, but if you read the review the guy had some valid reasons for it. He ran into two game breaking bugs, one of them forced him to restart after 20 hours. His boss even went to bat for him on the games sublistnook stating the guy was playing every day for two weeks trying to finish it.

CoffeeUseful803 Apr 17, 2026 +2
i love trainwrecks, but sadly it was boring. not even painfully boring--looking at the bar all throughout to see how much time I had to see through to see what happens boring.
2
Hoody__Warrelson Apr 8, 2026 +30
Fezco was the best part of that show anyways. RIP.
30
Spaced-Cowboy Apr 8, 2026 +10
Damn it’s gotta be f****** BAD for IGN to say so
10
g4n0esp4r4n Apr 8, 2026 +144
All I need is sex scenes.

LowProfile_ Apr 8, 2026 +102
People downvoting you, but at least you’re honest lol
102
MD_FunkoMa Apr 8, 2026 +21
Is it because of Sydney and Alexa?
21
Early-Eye-691 Apr 8, 2026 +11
Alexa doesn’t really do sex scenes outside of one in S1.
11
FlakyRazzmatazz5 Apr 8, 2026 +13
Hunter for me
13
clydefrog811 Apr 8, 2026 +48
Respect the goon. Everyone know why people like Sydney Sweeney and it ain’t for her acting ability
48
gtrocks555 Apr 8, 2026 +14
I watched her in the House Maid and she was… not good.
14
PolarWater Apr 9, 2026 +4
Let's be honest, that movie was mainly carried by Amanda Seyfried. Acted circles around Sydney.
4
exodus3252 Apr 8, 2026 +9
Saying her acting is wooden would be an absolute disservice to trees everywhere.
9
ShepPawnch Apr 8, 2026 +9
She was fine in *Immaculate*.
9
SabastianG Apr 8, 2026 +14
But thats just it, shes a “fine” actress, but not really deserving of the praise or recognition she gets solely based on her acting chops. Her going the lingerie route only further proves that
14
Wtare Apr 8, 2026 +9
I would argue she was outright good in handmaids tale.
9
FrameworkisDigimon Apr 9, 2026 +6
What praise and recognition? Where is this praise and recognition? She's not a critical darling, the internet hates her, the internet's never liked her acting and an industry figure had to apologise for saying what a dedicated minority voice in every Sweeney convo online says, i.e. that she's not pretty. Do you mean the rightwing influencers that were promulgating the "Sydney Sweeney's b**** are anti-woke" argument? Sydney Sweeney has attention on her commensurate with any other actress that headlines multiple projects that gets inflated a bit by her sexualised stunt marketing. But she has absolutely no artistic respect from anywhere.

whitemiketyson Apr 8, 2026 +10
I thought this show ended years ago. The huge gaps in shows really needs to stop
10
maurid Apr 8, 2026 +7
I don’t remember, and I think I no longer give a shit, about any of these characters.
7
Sikhness209 Apr 8, 2026 +5
Waited too long between seasons. The show has been probably in production for almost ten years with only three seasons to show for it. This should be it final season.
5
dlkslink Apr 8, 2026 +6
The camera work on this show is really good, but I know this show is supposed to be a drama but I watch it like it’s a surreal comedy because I can’t take anything in this show seriously. This show is like the overly serious, overly edgy cousin of The Secret Life Of The American Teenager, that show was hilarious too.
6
Tommy__want__wingy Apr 9, 2026 +6
This show sucked after the season 1 finale.
6
UtkuOfficial Apr 9, 2026 +6
Ain't nothing surprising about Euphoria being boring. Its gooner and art bait. Nothing else.
6
Mellero47 Apr 9, 2026 +6
Euphoria is a show about High Schoolers Gone Wild. They've aged out of their own premise.
6
ChaoticSenior Apr 8, 2026 +11
Wait, more boring than it was before?
11
IsleofManc Apr 8, 2026 +13
Is this even a review of the whole season? Or just the first three episodes?
13
JoshH99 Apr 8, 2026 +22
3 episodes.
22
monchota Apr 8, 2026 +3
The show was interesting the first season, the second season basically glorified not taking accountability. Now what else is there to do.
3
Godstepchild Apr 8, 2026 +4
Obviously it’s going to suck, the first season has already aged horribly, second season had at best mixed reviews as well.
4
homieholmes23 Apr 8, 2026 +6
Chloe cherry?
6
NoDaddyNotTheBelt25 Apr 8, 2026 +26
I’ve already watched the first 2 seasons and the 2 specials as they aired. Whether this season is dog shit or not, it’s all but confirmed that this is the ending. I’m committed to sticking it out to see how it end. Also, I’ll take the bad reviews with a little grain of salt. People love to pile on Levinson since the start and have done it in really pathetic ways making wild assumptions.
26
_Atlas_Drugged_ Apr 8, 2026 +18
Agreed. Season 1 was incredible. Season 2 was up and down, but had some incredible high points. The specials were excellent. I can stick it out and watch season 3. Euphoria isn’t perfect, but I have found the criticism of the show to be strangely outsized.
18
stoneman9284 Apr 8, 2026 +10
Yea that’s where I’m at too
10
Papi_Petty Apr 8, 2026 +7
feels like everyone involved is over it atp and only doing it for contractual obligations. plus the cast is getting too individually popular with Z, sydney, and elordi. just wrap it up at this point
7
DukeofNormandy Apr 8, 2026 +6
Do you get to see Sydney Sweeneys t*** though?
6
RatedC87 Apr 8, 2026 +8
It’s Sydney Sweeney, and it’s HBO. Odds gotta be insanely high.
8
jcantu8 Apr 9, 2026 +3
There’s 2 reasons some people are even going to bother watching the show, and the writing isn’t one of them
3
Nullhitter Apr 8, 2026 +19
Alyssa Mora, the reviewer, gave Wicked a 9 and The Little Mermaid an 8. I'll hold off for metacritic/rotten tomatoes user reviews.
19
SlimmySlinky Apr 8, 2026 +19
I mean that's not much higher than the average review for Wicked? It's quite a well reviewed movie. Also it's a review, do you want everyone to have the same opinion?
19
Conscious-Quarter423 Apr 8, 2026 +24
this was an Emmys darling and now...
24
GregSays Apr 8, 2026 +26
It was an Emmys acquaintance at best
26
Shaggy__94 Apr 8, 2026 +39
Lol no it was not. It had like four nominations between both seasons, and three of them were for acting. Hardly an “Emmy’s darling”.
39
WoodpeckerGingivitis Apr 8, 2026 +9
When was it ever an Emmy’s darling lol
9
TyChris2 Apr 8, 2026 +8
The show was always bad and Levinson has proven himself to be a hack pervert
8
joe_dirty365 Apr 8, 2026 +7
Zendaya and Patterson are both great in the new movie 'Drama' if anyone cares.
7
Training_Form2243 Apr 8, 2026 +8
The best dark comedy since Banshees of Inisherin. Pure madness
8
Cool-Association3420 Apr 8, 2026 +2
The episode where they go back in time to the dad’s gay awakening was really the best episode of tv I’d seen in awhile. I think season two episode 3 maybe not sure. Pour one out for him. So sad.
2
ipreferanothername Apr 8, 2026 +3
i dont even remember the show, wasnt gonna bother
3
duskywindows Apr 9, 2026 +2
Genuinely what the f*** is this show about
2
Major_Demand8811 Apr 9, 2026 +3
Since the first episode it was creepy old man’s pervert dream.
3
MajorFuckingDick Apr 9, 2026 +2
I keep wondering what the point of not just doing a movie or special to finish up is. Season 3 clearly cant do any sort of continuing of season 1 and 2 Rue dies or recovers, Jules doesnt matter, Nate takes over. Roll credits. Nothing else matters
2
QuintanimousGooch Apr 11, 2026 +3
It’s like boring Riverdale
3
Lamazing1021 Apr 8, 2026 +6
This entire series is so over hyped it’s so mediocre (at best)
