I just wanted to say it somewhere; I've been a console gamer since I was super tiny and to think I'm finally getting an actual gaming PC soon makes me ecstatic!! Along with that, it'll also make my college assignments so much easier, I won't have to do them through my phone or strictly during school times.
I've had a computer for a bit but it's really old and busted; even when cleaned out, it can't run much without struggling
I can't wait :)
I was a console gamer forever and can attest that once you make the switch you can't go back. Especially when you can justify the use of it for other purposes outside of gaming.
I needed a PC for work as well so that was the final factor in my decision and do not regret it at all.

that's great to hear :) yeah having it for both a hobby and something actually necessary is so helpful. April 10th I'll be able to pick mine up. plus I've got two siblings and it'll be a surprise for them too, they also play games and they'll be in shock to see this haha

welcome to the pc family please enjoy doing things for free that consoles usually charge you for and good discounts on games!
what do you plan on getting? and plan on playing

it's actually something my cousin has been doing for me a few months, so I don't know the exact model. I told him it's way too much so many times but he just seems excited to play Minecraft with me xddddd
Minecraft was about the most powerful thing I could run on my old pc, so I played a bunch but got bored cause it could only run a couple mods. I'm also getting overwatch (1400 hours on console), I'll finally be able to get back to playing Osu and Geometry Dash cause as time went on and the games got updated, they became unplayable with the frame rate. I had hundreds of hours on them so I was pretty sad about it. I won't go on forever though, I got a lot of games to play is what I'm saying :)
also yeah steam prices are sooo much better

Switching from console to PC genuinely changes how you use a computer for everything, not just games.
