In California, a Republican Sheriff Seizes Ballots, Prompting Criticism

A Republican sheriff running for governor just helped himself to 650,000 ballots from a past election and strutted off like a four‑star generalissimo of Riverside County, and we’re supposed to call that “law enforcement” instead of a cosplay coup rehearsal. This is not about “integrity,” it’s about a MAGA cowboy with delusions of grandeur deciding he outranks the voters, the courts, and the state, and treating ballots like evidence in a crime that only exists inside right‑wing Facebook groups. If some Democrat sheriff tried this, Fox would be on Day 6 of “BLUE STATE JUNTA WATCH,” but because it’s a Republican with four little vanity stars on his collar, we’re all supposed to politely watch him test‑drive authoritarianism like he’s picking out a new patrol SUV. Just look at those f****** stars on his collar, dude is LAARPing as a four-f****** star general.

Again - California Attorney General’s office should have a warrant out for his arrest.  But I guess they’re just going to let it happen.  I’m so sick of this shit.

I will never understand why a law enforcement position like Sheriff is elected. Makes a position that should be apolitical and turns it partisan.

As someone who has lived under Bianco's tenure as Sheriff, it's incredible to see what the general public outside our little stretch of California thinks of him. Bless your incredible comments.
