Umm Vedanta and the Indian government have provided around 50 lakhs to the deceased's family with Vedanta promising employment to the kin of the deceased (not that deaths can be complemented but atleast its somewhat helps the victims family).

They're probably not but the article says the accident was due to delaying maintenance. Feels like a bit of a shit apology: I know your family died in an accident here (caused by lack of maintenance) but to make it up to you we got a job lined up for you and the rest of your family, right here.
