Thragg feels like a Dragon Ball Z character inserted into this universe. His movements and punches have planetary weight behind them lol.

I liked that we had the voice actors for both Optimus Prime and Megatron in this one. 

That’s one of the best displays of strength I’ve seen from a character. This MF headbutted Marks fist, didn’t move an inch, and broke Mark’s hand. Also, the bit where all the viltrumites looked at mark with surprise / respect when he said he killed Conquest was well done

When Nolan tried to punch Thragg the first time and he just shifted back a couple inches reminded me of Frieza in old dbz.

That episode was nothing bu f****** DIABOLICAL. I loved it from the beginning to end. Best of all so far. The fact that they chose to portray Thragg not as a psychopathic killer, but as a being with immense strength and speed, yet equally devoted to his people and world. I have been amazed. No wonder he, as a king, never has been questioned by others.

What was the purpose of Mark and co flying through the planet if the beam was what was actually causing the damage? Just seemed superfluous to me. EDIT: Thanks for the breakdown, everyone! Makes more sense now seeing how they contributed to the destruction.

This episode felt like the writers yelled “therapy later, trauma now.” Loved it, but I kinda wish they’d let a few emotional beats breathe longer before the next punch.

The fact Thragg EASILY ripped off Thaddeus’s head should strongly indicate he was just gently tossing Nolan around, like holy shit… does anyone stand a chance????

So I loved this episode, don't get me wrong, but is anyone else tired of space battles? The random people scattered around flying it off screen and saving each other before they die.. The punches that send people flying away but not doing any real damage.. When they are on a planet, the punches feel so much more impactful because the person gets launched through a mountain or a building. And you see the destruction of the hit. It's epic. But in space everything just feels so... weak?

Still not totally sold on Lee Pace as Thragg’s voice actor, but goddamn that brother can throw hands.

How are they all able to suddenly speak telepathically?

THE HEADBUTT ANIMATION WAS SO PEAK. 2nd would be the planet being destroyed. The combined energy turning blue w/ its immense heat as they progressed together faster towards the planets core. The 3rd would have to be the thragg/nolan punches on viltrum. Fantastic episode

I am trying to gauge the power of the character, sometimes they can rip each other’s head off in one go but sometimes they can’t do that even after 100 punches…like are they really that fragile or sturdy? Which is which?

Thragg's guilt over sparing Thaedus mirrors Mark's over feeling bad when he thought he killed Angstrom and not ensuring he was dead

Now, I’ve only watched the episode once, and all of the things I’ve listed were noticed. I’m not a power-scaler or a comic reader, and I do give this show a lot of grace. However, I think people are giving this episode way too much credit. - The animation in this episode was just jarring. My partner and I both noticed the animation error of one of the viltrumites disappearing into this air after an explosion, and many of the shots of characters flying off or just standing still were distracting. A lot of the combat moves are just repeated over and over, such as someone getting their jaw punched off (both Eve and Oliver now), getting fisted through the stomach (Nolan, Eve, Lucan, etc.?), or head chopped off in one go. Additionally, several of the punches and combat seemed as though they had no weight behind them, but I think this also a sound design issue (I do know that they’re in space, but that only excuses so much). - I don’t understand Thragg’s backstory or reasoning at all. Mark explains that he is as powerful as he is because he was trained since he was a baby, but so were so many of the viltrumites we see in the show? It just doesn’t make sense to me how much of a difference there is in power between Thaddeus, Nolan, and Thragg. I would understand that he has a lack of mercy after his mistake with Thaddeus, but then he spares Mark and Nolan, when both of them contributed directly to the destruction of Viltrum? Why does he now all of a sudden care about how much blood is spilt when he one-tapped Oliver, and previously called for Viltrumites to kill one another after the death of Thragg? - I am so lost on how the trio of Thaddeus, Nolan, and Mark destroyed Viltrum. The beam from Space Ranger is small enough that it doesn’t entirely tear through the torso of a viltrumite, but it is large enough that all three of them can follow behind it to go through the planet’s core? Am I missing something? - I just don’t get how Tech Jacket has survived this long, or how Alan was able to get through the fight practically unscathed. - How is it that there are so few viltrumites shown after they massacre one another to kill the betrayer, but billions die shortly after due to the virus? How do the aliens dragged in by Space Ranger not freeze immediately when they’re in space? I just feel as though this episode didn’t explain a lot of questions that it introduced, and also had a lot of plot holes while having subpar animation for being the second-to-last episode of the season. I don’t expect this show to have exact reasoning for everything, as it’s an animated show about superheroes.

I loved this episode but the plot armour is a bit silly sadly. Everyone of the maincast either survived every wound ever or the bad guys just decide to not kill then 🥲

Beat that euphoria season 3

Loved it. But my big problem is the Viltrumite purge near the begining, in the flash back. Viltrumites killing each other in one hit? Instantly tearing off limbs? I'll give a pass to Thragg but not the others. Any pure blood Viltrumite is supposed to be difficult to kill. Nolan took ages to beat Mark within an inch of his life in S1.  I know the idea was to "purge the weakness" but they were just unbelievably weak against their own kind. 

I'm digging it, but i wish we had a little more non viltrimite war stuff in this season. Feels like forever since we saw what robot and the gang are up to. And there is just one more episode left in the season and then we wait. This season is breezing by and I feel like I didn't get my fix. the viltrimite stuff is brutal and tense and all that, but it feels like we are missing some of the more light hearted stuff this show normally blends in. Need some more wins to balance out all the loss. Like how many times do we get to see mark and oliver get their asses utterly handed to them? I want at least a little win here. Mark effortlessly beating the lava b**** is cool and all, but the rest of the season has just been pounding after pounding. When does oliver get to kick some ass for a change? At this point he is just a liability, and that sucks. All I know is I need more, and this season went by too fast.

Thragg killing people did not move me at all. His voice and design just is so underwhelming in the show. That isn't suddenly fixed by him being displayed as strong.

They should have deleted episode 4 and gave its animation budget to this episode. Because the drama was amazing, but you could see the animators fighting their budget in some scenes.

It's complete BS that the 3 of them survived, there I said it. Other than that I enjoyed the episode and the animation was great.

How are they talking in space?

Love the show! Just have to share a complaint🤷🏼‍♂️. The endless last minute saves and then locking eyes with who they saved, only to get hit again from not paying attention. Though, this is a very common trope.

The entire episode was stupid. Then again that's Invincible for ya, and I'm here for it.

All you clowns who said Thragg lost aura, where are you now? "YOU ARE ALL NEXT!" His dynamic with Argall's skull went ALL over your heads. Its suppose to correlate how he failed.
