Probably the same way I monitor people in my neighborhood. Creepily from afar.

“I’ve never seen that car before! Why is he parked there?!” (Takes out oversized binoculars) “oh… delivering a package… yeah you better get out of here!”

Sounds to me like Iran is planning on letting Oman cash in on Hormuz toll money.

Makes sense. Oman will help give them some credibility with the west since they've been allies with the UK for forever.

Makes sense, Oman holds the other half so if the toll's gonna be formalized into law then Oman clearly would have to agree to it too for anyone to go along with it.

And it would make it so that anyone who opposed this move from other countries would have to treat Oman as a belligerent if they sought to open the Strait Oman isn't a significant military power as far as I am aware but it does make the whole situation a lot messier

Having an ally control the strait is better than the status quo of Iran controlling the strait fully, so I could see other countries viewing it as a compromise rather than co-beligerance.

If they do start charging a toll, it's going to set a dangerous precedent. That has always been Turkey's wet dream to do something like that.

i hope it sets the precedent of adopting renewable energy as fast as possible

The best way Iran can own Trump. Close the straight with a US ally. Trump can rage all he wants, because it's being "secured" by a Middle East ally, this fulfilling Trumps request, and both countries making a ton on tolls. It's brilliant.

Iran and Russia are also enjoying elevated oil prices, while the world sees USA and Israel as the cause of pain. Iran's best defense is to play the long game, while USA and Israel can't afford it.

Lol the US can't do c***. Trump has shown the world the the US can easily be manipulated and is only just as strong as its leader... and Trump is a feeble old man
