No sign of war winding down in Mideast as Friday dawns with attacks across region
There has been little sign Friday of the war in the Mideast winding down as Israel says it faced incoming fire from Iran, and Kuwait and Bahrain also reported being under attack.

Operation Epic F*** up
88
silverbolt2000 Apr 2, 2026 +19
Unless the “operation” was to restrict oil supply from every country except the US in order to: 1. Drive up oil prices, and 2. Force countries to buy oil from the US at sky-high prices. In which case it’s rather successful. I mean, what options are countries left with now if they want to buy oil?

j0y0 Apr 2, 2026 +30
Iran, whose oil has been un-sanctioned by Trump to try to stop oil prices from climbing too high.

foghillgal Apr 2, 2026 +9
\`The US itself is paying the high prices though. So, your salting the rest of the economy to making oil companies profit. That\`s not very good long term as it encourages switch to all other sources of energy you are currently underinvesting in yourself.

I mean considering Trump thinks everyone else pays tariffs i honestly wouldn't be surprised if he thought only oil elsewhere would cost more

It's only good in the long run if you're 5 billion richer in Bitcoin when the USD collapses. Welcome to making the American depression great again.

The citizens are but some Americans are benefiting massively.

silverbolt2000 Apr 2, 2026 +1
Don’t be surprised if he slaps a massive tariff on oil exports to subsidise the high cost of oil for the US, thereby making himself look like the hero who drove down oil costs.

Oil is priced globally. Repeat after me. Oil is priced globally. Domestic production has no effect. Putting another tax on it won't help.
3
silverbolt2000 Apr 3, 2026
>Oil is priced globally. For now. Does Trump strike you as the kind of person who maintains the status quo? >Domestic production has no effect. For now. Trump could choose to set aside a portion of domestic production for domestic consumption only, and price it accordingly.

Ops epic blunder, too.

I hope to God Israel doesn’t fire a nuclear weapon at Iran.

chronoic Apr 2, 2026 +5
If they do, alot of countries are going to be on the phone with North Korea, getting their own Nukes, what is left of Iran will be too. Because that will signal to every country that the only way your going to be safe is if you also have Nukes and the the Non-Proliferation Treaty will be dead.

You don’t understand, if this happens, there may not be a world left to save in 6 months. Certainly not for Israel.
-12
IIIllIIlllIlII Apr 2, 2026 -6
I think they’ll persuade trump to do it.
-6
NicolasCageFan492 Apr 2, 2026 -6
I’m not sure Trump can, even if he wanted to. There are too many forces that would prevent it in my opinion. I don’t think this is the case for Israel.

Leftoverofferings Apr 2, 2026 +1
Okay... so there are smaller tactical nukes that wouldn't destroy the country, but it's still a nuke and the world is in agreement. That's a no-no. Also, does Iran have nukes delivered from Russia?

Markets closed for a long weekend? Good time to wage war!

3 days to win a war before the market opens

edwardthefirst Apr 3, 2026 +5

F***, I'd take a cat leading the nation at this point. I'm tired of all of this "winning".

You think Iran and US fued started only in this decade? You are sorely mistaken.

GW Bush was the last Republican president. He was in office a quarter of a century ago and he's one month younger than Trump. There really ought to be age limits on it.

They're all Israeli puppets, this has been going on since the last 10 presidents at least.

We know. The world collectively took advantage of obama and did the bare min to work with him.

Nearly eliminated, thats why he's so desperate for other Navies to come and help. Maybe he literally means the threat from geographical Tehran, and its just the entire rest of the country they're having trouble with.

Iran has beaten the USA this far. Irans leadership seems intact. We don’t know about their enriched material. Now here is the issue imo. The top brass is pushing back on any ground forces. Why? I’m a veteran but the truth is the USA is not suitable for asymmetric modern warfare. We will be sitting ducks as FPV drones swarm us. Body bags. And trump basically surrendered to Iran. Iran did not fold. Trump said “we don’t have to open the strait of Hormuz”. Ok but Americans will still suffer. Gas was $3 a gallons in January. Now it $4. If we bail gas prices will skyrocket. As I write this I feel so depressed for my country.

ARazorbacks Apr 3, 2026 +6
Body bags is the takeaway everyone needs to have. If we invade (and it looks like we will) there will be lots and lots of body bags.

ruskyandrei Apr 2, 2026 +7
I thought they'd already won like 2 weeks ago ?
7
Dark_World_Blues Apr 3, 2026 +2
No way they're nearly eliminated if they can fire at most countries close to it and keep the strait under their control.
2
Sad-Excitement9295 Apr 2, 2026 +5
We've wiped out their military, and won the war. I don't think we should be there. It's not our problem, our allies can get their own oil. They're nearly eliminated, 2-3 more weeks...

Secret_g_nome Apr 2, 2026 +12
Lol. Almost quoted verbatim.
12
Sad-Excitement9295 Apr 2, 2026 +7
Yup, pretty much everything he's said over the past few weeks. (This was a parody if you missed that). There I added more dots.
7
Secret_g_nome Apr 3, 2026 +2
Ah, satire is truly dead. Listnookors often use a /s to convey sarcasm.
2
Sad-Excitement9295 Apr 3, 2026 +2
Well yes, but sometimes we just think it is implied at this point when quoting Trump or the like. It's always 2 more weeks.

These headlines are bullshit. Was anything hit? I can claim I fired on them too.
-7
gunzgoboom Apr 3, 2026 +3
How are the headlines bs? Rockets indeed were fired from Iran towards Israel. Israelis ran to shelters all over the country, something that they do multiple times a day now. The rockets are usually shot down or land in fields, but they do hit, and have killed some. Rarely, because everyone gets forwarning and the shelters are in every building now, but it does happen.
3
United_Intention_323 Apr 3, 2026 -3
Reporting that a rocket is launched is stupid. Report when a rocket hits something. Obviously.
-3
gunzgoboom Apr 3, 2026 +2
The report that a rocket is launched is part of what lets people get to shelter on time. Believe it or not, you are not the center of the universe, and you are not everyone's target audience. It's also helpful in keeping track of how many rockets total were shot towards Israel. Some days it's as many as 200, though not lately. The frequency is also telling, and is part of why it's worth reporting. It could be a sign of diminished munitions. Or it could be that it's being done on purpose to mess with the economy while conserving ammo. It also gives the evidence that Iran is still able to bring out a launcher. Aim it at a target a (broad) thousand miles away, and successfully fire, which is an indicator that the IRGC is not as finished as some make it out to be. Reporting facts is critical and extremely useful to am educated audience.
2
United_Intention_323 Apr 3, 2026
No it isn’t. People aren’t reading articles to know if something is coming their way. They listen for sirens. Reporting X rockets were launched with Y hits is useful. This article has no use. It is missing half of the story.
