It’s astonishing to watch Trump so openly misrepresent reality. There’s no credible evidence of real communication or any kind of ceasefire, yet he continues to insist that “talks are going well”.
What’s even crazier is how blatant it is. Anyone paying attention can see through it, but he’s clearly speaking to an audience that’s willing to accept it without question. It’s absolutely insane.
The fucked up part is that this isn’t just another meaningless exaggeration. What he’s talking about now carries real consequences, potentially involving the lives of American soldiers and their families. Imagine being a parent, knowing your son or daughter could be sent into conflict, while the President treats the situation like a talking point, shifting narratives as if it’s all a f****** game.
This isn’t just politics as usual, these are people’s lives.

“Fake news.” or “That’s AI”
When that’s proven wrong, “He’s just joking.”, or “He’s trolling Iran.”
I don’t get it. It must be an ego thing, they can’t admit they were wrong to support them. Or they’re dumbass trolls themselves who think being an a****** is funny.

I would honestly love to be a fly on the wall the the white house. Because i think there is about a 50/50 chance that half of this isnt just Trump lying, but also Trump being lied to.
Consider everything you know about him....everybody working for him is constantly both terrified of him, of losing their jobs, and trying desperately to get on his good side. Trump is also easily bored, and lazy in terms of doing actual work so there is no f****** way he would be negotiating shit even if there were negotiations.
So that means other people have been tasked with it. What is the chance that person X is going to trump and saying "listen up boss, the situation is this. We have f****** nothing. There are some pakistanis that think they have a phone number of some guy who might or might not actually have any f****** connection to anybody who is actually in charge. And even he is telling us to go f*** ourselves. We are fucked here. There wont be a deal. Cut your losses you completely idiot"
No ofcourse not.
They have absolutely been feeding him f****** bullshit. I wouldnt be suprised if half the shit he has been saying are just quotes that his sickophants has been making up to keep him from not exploding.
"Oh sir they are begging us to stop bombing us. They are ao a scared of you, the greatest president that has ever lived...bla bla bla bla....could i have a headups on some insider trading before your next post please?"

They bombed their entire leadership. Its an existential crisis for them.
The iranian leadership consists of Dip shit hardline psychopaths who kill everybody who dares hold up a sign that is just slightly critical of the regime...
Now you tell me. Which of these two scenarios do you think they are most afraid of?
A. Having your powerplants bombed, something which would really hurt their civilian
population
Or
B: the US killing their entire leadership which has already happened.
They arent scared of this threat. They were in huge problems with their population before the war. Every school or powerplant that gets bombed will only convince more iranians that while they might hate the regime, they certaintly hate the two countries who are bombing civilian targets a hell of a lot more.
I know we can never have any believeable polls from Iran, but if we did, i wouldnt be suprised if the regime was less unpopular now than they were before the war started.

Dragging the U.S. down how? The U.S. is a net oil exporter and gets most of its imports from Canada. Less than 10% comes from the Middle East

Oil is fungible.
You really think US oil companies are going to sell oil cheaper to the American market instead of shipping it to EU?
Fat chance. If the EU will pay 1 penny more, all the oil in the US would be on a boat.

How is the price at your local gas pump?
American foreign policy has been driven by the price of gas since at least the 1970s. The Trump Administration's choices have skyrocketed the global price of oil. Oil companies are going to make money because demand has gone up and supply has gone down. You? You're going to pay more because of this war, regardless of how much domestic production any one country enjoys.

Give some thought to why the U.S. exports oil just to import it?
Most U.S. refineries process heavy crude, and most oil produced in the U.S. is light crude. It’s not easy - or cost effective A to convert refineries from one to the other.
The US imports from Canada because not only does Canada subsidize the U.S. (something I would very much like to see end and likely will with prices going up) but they need Canadian oil as it is heavy crude.
Trump is a moron who doesn’t understand how the U.S. oil economy works, and is managing to fool a lot of people to think that the U.S. is immune to rising oil prices even while they watch the price of gas go up at the pump.

Is that why Trump is pissing and shitting and crying how the strait isn’t open? Because we DON’T need it?
6
NeedToVentCom4 days ago
+3
Because oil is a global commodity. How is this so hard to understand? Sure the American oil companies are making more money, but they constitute a small part of the American economy, while the rest of it is badly affected by an increase in oil prices, as it both increases their operating costs and leaves less money in the hands of their consumers.

We may make our own oil, but we can't use our oil and the price of our oil is still determined by the world's market. If other countries need to offer $180-200+ to get oil, our oil costs $180-200+ for us too.
The US pays market price for it's own oil.

So basically what is happening is behind closed doors Trump is begging Iran to just give up, while on his socials he wants to be able to come out of this looking like he was a big tough guy who Iran bowed down and kissed the ass of. All Iran has to do is hold out and I think they will give Trump a stress and Macdonalds induced heart attack.
What a complete and utter tit he continues to be. America and Israel have royally ballsed this whole situation up and just left the world in a worse place than it was in before.

Trump is just caught in a dementia escalation loop. He had his face blown off by the Iranian escalation against the Arab allies but can never admit defeat and so we stumble through an old man yelling at the sky through a haze of blood while the world sees a progressively larger financial and humanitarian depression deepen with each passing minute.
Iran is in bad shape, but as others point out, even a half-dead Iran can make the vulnerable Gulf State infrastructure and economies into worthless junk indefinitely. As every US govt and conservative thinktank study has said for years, not that lazy manbaby paid attention at any of those briefings according to Bolton recently.

That's just not true. It's absolutely true that European nations in general weren't very nice to Jews living in their borders, but Zionism is, was, and always has been driven by Jewish leaders.
European nations supported it via a combo of guilt for the Holocaust and probably an antisemitic desire that Jews would move - but all of the driving leaders were themselves Jewish. That's a fact.

They are always negotiating, they just not actively. They have stated their hard lines and want a conclusive peace, not some ceasefire which allows the US to get a breather and attack after they catch their breath. Iran is not giving them this opportunity and instead wants a clear end of hostilities and actual actions to prove end rather than some words, especially as the US has broken its word multiple times and attacked during previous negotiations. Hell support for nuclear weapons has skyrocketed in Iran.
