***The Telegraph reports:***
Iran has rebuilt most of its missile infrastructure along the Strait of Hormuz, according to US intelligence assessments.
The regime has reportedly restored operational access to 30 of its 33 missile sites along and around the narrow maritime chokepoint through which roughly a fifth of the world’s oil supply passes.
According to people with knowledge of the assessments, Tehran has also retained roughly 70 per cent of its pre-war missile stockpile and mobile launchers.
About 90 per cent of its underground missile storage and launch facilities are now considered “partially or fully operational”, The New York Times reported.
The stockpile includes ballistic missiles, which can be used to target neighbouring countries, and a smaller supply of shorter-range cruise missiles.
Iran has used its mobile missile launchers to move its munitions to other locations, protecting them from US strikes.

I can't wait for Trump to announce a peace deal that is identical to Obamas nuclear deal, except for lifting sanctions on Iran, while Iran at the same time has managed to retain or even strengthen their hold on Hormuz. They have threatened to close it many times and now had a chance to prove they can do it. This will further accelerate the transition to EVs and renewable electricity globally, diminishing US petrodollar influence. And Trump will sell it as a win at home, and his base will clap and cheer while they wonder why their economy is not improving even when oil prices drop due to slumping demand.

Counterintuitively, it is also a win for the entire ME. The US has been a staunch supporter of Israel for almost a century, it has been a marriage of necessity. If the US doesn't need to export freedom because of oil, strategic assets will no longer be there either.

Trump has to admit defeat, something he never did in his entire life.
So he will run the world into the ground instead.
His voters behave the same, in any country...

That might be the case but unless they improve their air defenses all of that is either exposed or can pressured underground by air sorties.

It was common knowledge, that Iran has 100s miles of undergroun tunnels (just like NK) for this exact reason. They were building this up since the 80s preparing for this exact scenario. This is also not the first time Iran threatens the streight of Hormuz. All of these things are known and yet noone managed to convince Trump that a war with Iran is a bad idea. 90 milion people, a lot of experience from the Iraq war, a system of decentralised leadership of the IRGC literally working as a hydra where you cut one head off and two other regrow, the most fanatic religous fghters seeing a martyr death as pure bliss, three times the size of Iraq and 70% of the country are mountains with the most hostile enviroments imaginable.
