Iran warns U.S. troops will be "set on fire" if Americans launch ground operation
"As long as the Americans seek Iran's surrender, our response is clear: Far be it from us to accept humiliation," Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Iran's parliament speaker, said Sunday.

They surely love watching people get blown to bits. Try to ask any questions about what's being displayed and they go into meltdowns. It's frecking weird.

I mean it's a sub that uses wars and death as entertainment, it's to be expected it's full of weirdos. But usually these people are mostly americans so we'll see what happens if americans get droned.

All these f****** kids man. Grew up probably playing call of duty every day or something similar, dreaming of the military and how cool it would be. Or just didn’t know what else to do. Or wanted to get in, do their service, retire, and go to school. Whatever. Fast forward, buddy. Your big brother unplugged your controller a while ago. You don’t f****** respawn anymore.

thehitskeepcoming Mar 30, 2026 +34
Before the Ukraine war, I remember reading about kids that said they were depressed because all they wanted to do was chill and play video games. They didn’t want a war, Russia just decided to take Ukraine and now they had no choice but to fight for their country and their lives.

Damn I didn't even think how devastating it would be psychologically for the American people to see American troops killed this way. That's a whole new realm of warfare. Do you think the administration has enough control over social media they could keep something like that from Americans?
68
zulhadm Mar 30, 2026 +103
In the Afghanistan war the Taliban kidnapped Americans and released videos of their beheading. I couldn’t stomach it but it wasn’t hard to find online. The internet has evolved since then.
103
SyFyFan93 Mar 30, 2026 +50
I was a journalism major during that time period who watched those videos out of some misplaced sense of duty or morbid curiosity or something. I wish I hadn't. Like it's good to know about what atrocities are happening in the world but watching those atrocities happen is another thing.
50
acadoe Mar 30, 2026 +1
I watched a single gore video many years ago of a gang exacting machete justice in some jungle and after that forever noped out of such content. You think you can handle it, but that shit gets burnt into your brain.

38
valiantdistraction Mar 30, 2026 +21
Absolutely not. We all saw Charlie Kirk and Renee Good and Alex Pretti killed within an hour of those things happening. Those were all just last year. There's already a huge community online for people who watch videos of soldiers getting killed for fun or whatever, so those people would be ready to proliferate those videos ASAP.

No. A lot on the right are in telegram chats that 100% will show it. Iran has psyops birgades and will do all that they can to make sure it gets plastered on Instagram tik tok and Facebook.
36
knittingcatmafia Mar 30, 2026 +20
No, and why should it? These are the actions of your democratically elected president. I think it’s time the American people are confronted with their own “foreign policy”. Drone warfare footage is an absolute nightmare, btw. Worse than anything I think we can imagine. As far as preventing footage from leaking into public view: when the Gaza war started my Instagram algorithm was flooded with toddlers with headshots, maimed infants, and the remains of people in collapsed buildings. My page is about crafting and learning languages usually.
20
getwhirleddotcom Mar 30, 2026 +11
This is what the MSM needs to cover. Show actual horrors of war. Watch how fast that war ends. But Trump controls all the media platforms now.
11

I don’t doubt for a second once those videos pop up, Listnook will crack down hard on them. It’s already tough enough to see certain perspectives from other sides on here. Can’t imagine one gory enough video making it out for longer than a few hours here.

IED deaths and injure was all just happenstance. If you just so happen to take that 👉🏻road instead of that 👈🏻 road. Now the troops are deliberately being targeted by high precision highly maneuverable weapons drones. I feel like there is going to be a lot more deaths. Un-needed deaths. Death for a pedophile. Oh it could get so f****** bad. US forces are likely to get increasingly frustrated when confronted with these weapons. American soldiers have gone on murderous, raping rampages for far less. Imagine who they're going to vent their anger on when they constantly lose guys to drone attacks. Hope any civilians stay the hell away from American forces if they can

therealjonathank Mar 30, 2026 +901
I feel so much more concerned for our front line service members than ever before.  Drone strikes have evolved in a way that have made boots on the ground easy pickings and I’ve never had so little faith in our military leadership to protect them.  So unnecessary.
901
koreytm Mar 30, 2026 +276
That, along with the ubiquity of video recording, it's going to be an entirely different war watching video feeds of soldiers being chased down by these things. It's going to get real very quickly when people start seeing the faces of their sons and daughters in their final moments running away from a drone on social media.
276
basketcaseforever Mar 30, 2026 +141

Cold War tactics and equipment meant for old school war fighting won’t work anymore. Drones are c****, portable, maneuverable, very effective and easy to operate. A $5k drone with some C4 that costs 10k can take out an 8-10 million dollar tank.
14
X38-2 Mar 30, 2026 +9
What makes you think that the USA isn't deploying drones and operators as well? I don't doubt how dangerous a mission to Iran would be for US troops, but everyone is talking like Iran is going to be the only ones with drones in the region.
9
loralailoralai Mar 30, 2026 +8
They don’t feel connected to dead Iranians. Only dead Americans.
8
Facktat Mar 30, 2026 +5
I honestly think that the much bigger problems will be boobytraps. Iran had a lot of time to prepare itself for this. Just consider what the Vietnamese were able to pull of with barely any resources. This will be Vietnam on steroids. For some reason many Americans suppose that Iranians criticizing the Islamic Republic would be in favor of the Americans but they are not. What America rather is for them is a common enemy, uniting the people with their government against the Western invaders.
5

Sorry to be the one to inform you but that's been your entire country's history... read up on the Vietnam War
11
YaKnowMuhSteezz Mar 30, 2026 +146
This war is already unpopular, imagine how unpopular it will be when folks back home see first person footage from an FPV drone blowing the legs off little Johnny from down the block, and then watch another view as a drone circles above him as he is bleeding out in pain, looking into the sky at his demise… cause that’s the shit you see daily coming out of Ukraine.
146
Anal-buttsex Mar 30, 2026 +7
It was already weird seeing the downed pilots standing in the field confused. Teenage Americans getting captured and enduring god knows what on social media might straight up traumatize us.
7
8412155 Mar 30, 2026 +425
Unfortunately, getting set on fire is a very real possibility after being hit by an FPV drone. I hope they reconsider a ground operation. Not looking forward to seeing that footage.
425
Constant-Tea3148 Mar 30, 2026 +334
If a ground invasion happens I'd prefer as much footage of it becomes available as possible. People seem to feel too disconnected from the reality of war, seeing it happen in 4k might make everyone think twice.
334

18
Muzzlehatch Mar 30, 2026 +41
No, unfortunately it will mostly be other people’s children. Unless you have millions dead. And the last thing these people care about is other people, Maga or not.
41

They’re a cult. They would be honored.
10
Reps_4_Jesus Mar 30, 2026 +12
....i doubt *every* person in the military is some maga-nutball. People join to escape poverty and other reasons and I bet 80% of them are sweating bullets now realizing they joined at the "wrong time". > The U.S. military is diverse, with roughly 67-70% white, 16-20% Black, and a fast-growing Hispanic population (approx. 17-21%)
12
jutiatle Mar 30, 2026 +6
I’m not talking about the people actually enlisted in the military. OP asked about people’s children, not the demographics of the actual soldiers.

12
Marijuana_Miler Mar 30, 2026 +36
IMO the US can’t control the Strait of Hormuz without putting boots on the ground. Either Trump gives up and negotiates a peace deal or they send in troops. I’ve read that Iran wants the US to leave their military bases and to be out of the region. So I think they have to start controlling parts of Iran so they have something for Iran to negotiate for.
36

12
so2017 Mar 30, 2026 +4
So you admit there was no imminent threat.
4
valiantdistraction Mar 30, 2026 +12
Yes? Everyone except the people in Trump's administration admit that.
12
UnoriginalStanger Mar 30, 2026 +2
I doubt there was imminent threat. If I had to guess it's more so that this was seen as the best time to attack, with the riots etc going on. Soon the US will be too occupied disuading China from invading Taiwan(currently it they appear to lack landing crafts but are rectifying that) to be able to exert similar power. Combine that then with Iran growing in power over the upcoming years, potentially preventing air strikes like we saw in '25 and it became now or never. The solution should have been that Iran ceeded it's position to change the rate at which balance of power changed reducing the value in attacking now. Idk why though, it's not like it wasn't clear that the US was in position.
2
Pecncorn1 Mar 30, 2026 +58
Do you know anything about the geography of Iran? It's going to be a disaster and we're going to see a lot of bodies coming home in boxes if they can even be recovered. This is so depressing....
58
Poverty_Shoes Mar 30, 2026 +41
MAGA won’t ever know about the casualties unless they know them personally because the White House, Fox, and CBS won’t report on them. We could lose 50,000 troops like Vietnam and MAGA won’t even know about it.
41
DawnSennin Mar 30, 2026 +22
Unless the majority of MAGA consists of upper managerial workers, they’ll be seeing their military relatives deploy in the near future. It’s known that the American military recruits from impoverished communities, including those in red states.
22
MUNCHINonBABI3Z Mar 30, 2026 +6
I know everyone wants to think of MAGA republicans as crayon munchers and stereotypical wife beaters.. but yes, they have good jobs too.
6
Pecncorn1 Mar 30, 2026 +8
I suspect many of the parents of those who will pay the price are MAGAats. Even if I am wrong on that count Iran will flood social and traditional media with FPV footage. Eric Prince just came out and said the US isn't ready to see the videos of all the burning war ships that will come out of this. Warfare has changed they will be taking out multimillion dollar systems and equipment with drones and missiles that cost a few thousand.
8
solapelsin Mar 30, 2026 +3
It’s not your strait to control. And get out if the host country is sick of you. It’s crazy that I’m coming in to defend Iran of all places, but they’re a sovereign country and you had no business starting this war to begin with. Don’t even try the “oppressive regime” shtick, we all agree on that, but none of this is being done for the benefit of the Iranian people.
3
PaidUSA Mar 30, 2026 +7
Just to be clear it is not their strait to control. Which they weren’t doing and hadn’t done since the late70-80s and some day long crackdowns.
7
solapelsin Mar 30, 2026 +8
It’s been treated as international waters conventionally, as it’s such an important navigation area for most countries. However, it is literally their coastline and does fall under their jurisdiction (along with Oman). It’s not shocking that friendly convention goes out the window when they’re literally being attacked. There were no issues with international vessels passing through the strait until the US decided to start taking out other countries’ leaders. Edit: corrected an autocorrect

I wish we don't get this far.
37
Ban4Speaking Mar 30, 2026 +14
Absolutely! But this is sadly the world we live in now. Insanity is the norm. The more productive thing now is not thinking about how to stop something from happening but how to limit suffering and death caused by said thing.
14
ynotfoster Mar 30, 2026 +14
Are you assuming MAGAs will blame the republicans? I think they will use it to fuel more hatred against middle easterners. They won't have to hold themselves responsible for voting for trump this way.

It will take republican voters to inadvertently send their own republican family members/friends or even themselves who are enlisted to go lose their own lives in Iran. if you voted for Trump, there’s still time to do the right thing by joining us in order stop more people getting deployed to their deaths.

They have no reason to adhere to any rules regarding prisoners of war. Pete Hagseth quite literally said that America wouldn't.

I mean, why play nice when your opponent officially states they won’t? Having read the article in the post, Iran sadly comes across as the more polite party. They’re warning they’ll bomb American universities unless the US stops bombing theirs, while the US just bombs. Universities, of all targets

Yep, the words of leaders matter, who would've thought Whether they do or dont they will be perceived first as whatever the leadership says they will do
8
UnoriginalStanger Mar 30, 2026 +3
> Yep, the words of leaders matter, who would've thought They genuinely don't. For example Ukraine continues not being nuked despite Putin's threats of the contrary. US still hasn't invaded Greenland. Actions matter far more than words ever will, because they have actual costs associated with them.

They said they would keep the Straight of Hormuz closed, is Trump being a coward or a fool and just taking Iran at its word on that one?

How dare they! What kind of assholes defend themselves against an invading army?! Don’t they know they don’t have the cards?

US is not prepared for drone warfare by the enemy. 10 Ukrainians destroyed two NATO battalions playing as the aggressors in a simulation exercise.

We have no clue. A commander in chief who wants to commission a new battleship. It will be a painful lesson.

Lukin4 Mar 30, 2026 +8
Wait, he was for real? I just thought that's what he was calling potty time now
8
Foreign_Skill_6628 Mar 30, 2026 +6
I mean….commissioning a new battleship isn’t a terrible idea, if used for drone warfare. A drone is going to have a hard time scratching the paint of a US battleship. If we had cargo pallets full of drones we were launching from it, instead of tomahawk missiles, it could be a strategic asset

Meonyapa Mar 30, 2026 +7
Well, china has developed submerged drone as a delivery vehicle to launch their advanced anti ship missile at close range

F*** Iran, though.

kye-qatxd-9156 Mar 30, 2026 +69
Iran not chill, I dont f*** with theocracies. But it doesnt mean we can just bomb them cuz they arent gonna be subservient to trump/israel/etc. Would you go starting physical fights with everyone you meet that you disagree with? Probably not!

Thank you, We literally bombed a girls school and killed around a hundred. How fucked can you be to defend the US?

Keyboard patriots seem to forget that war is a two way relationship and the other party kinda has a say in when and how to try and kill you.
37
kye-qatxd-9156 Mar 30, 2026 +5
Theyre already after me apparently. Why the f*** do people do these dumbass takes like “oh they hurt their civillians” yeah well that sucks and all but there was a whole operation to force regime change in Iran, and it was lead by USA, Israel, and other countries. Its crazy its almost like one thing preceded another. Again, not defending Iran’s actions, but if you keep putting a regime in the f****** hot seat and you KNOW this type of shit could happen, then like.. dont be shocked when it happens if you keep it up? Ffs. Like for real, if I walk up to someone at the bar ask for their sear. They say no. So i slap them as hard as i f****** can.. and they absolutely bust my face open with a glass bottle.. Are these people gonna take my side in a bar fight for starting shit and acting like a b****? Probably shouldnt have tried to use violence to get someone to give me smth i wanted, f*** lmfao

13
moral_mortal Mar 30, 2026 +20
You are hopelessly dumb.... literally most of the big bases in the world where there are families living they have bases. You think American bases don't have school on them?
20
UnoriginalStanger Mar 30, 2026 +2
Have you been on a military base?
2
Fenrirsulfr22 Mar 30, 2026 +17
Schools are often built on military sites, as that's where their kids go to school. Most of our large bases around the world have schools. This particular school was put in after the base was decommissioned and hadn't been a military site in years, and even the most cursory review of intelligence would have revealed that.

kye-qatxd-9156 Mar 30, 2026 +23
Probably because the US and Israel are bombing schools and hospitals so the terms have been set and neither party can claim moral high-ground, you absolute fuckin loon See? This is what I mean. “BUT WHAT ABOUT WHAT ABOUT WHAT ABOUT” Listen. The US. Has destabilized middle eastern countries. For its own interests alone. For. Decades. All this shit about innocent people dying? Israel and the US have already proven that they dont abide by some moral code. Theyve proven this in separate instances over and over again. Mind you, I’m not some huge supporter of Iran. But if we’re gonna talk about what’s happening, let’s not cherry pick our points and act like literally any country involved has moral high ground theyre standing on. Stop letting people who dont even actually represent you off the hook for f****** up, dude. No one benefits and you look like an absolute dipshit pretending someone holier than thou is among any of the participants of this war. I encourage everyone to hold EVERYONE accountable, including Iran for shit I disagree with. But one thing is for certain: Iran wouldnt be doing this shit if they didnt get hit hard by the US and Israel FIRST. So f*** off with this “Iran bad, only usa and israel good” f****** bullshit.
23
badk11Z Mar 30, 2026 +7
So let’s shoot cruise missiles at innocent civilian merchant vessels from Thailand and Malaysia
7
kye-qatxd-9156 Mar 30, 2026 +18
Love how you just wont acknowledge the other side of it. The terms were already set dude. Folks played hardball with Iran and laughed, now Iran is playing hardball and the attackers are crying about it. If you think this is just right up their alley, then why bomb non-military targets to begin with? You just gave them MORE of a reason to not give a shit. Your logic is dumb as shit. You probably start fights and then cry like a b**** when someone hits back, because youre effectively doing exactly that lmfao Not responding to your dumb ass whataboutisms any more. They werent doing that shit until their energy infrastructure, schools, hospitals, and civilians were bombed. One thing happened first. Your argument has more holes in it than RFK Jr’s fuckin “brain”
18
badk11Z Mar 30, 2026 +6
Shooting at civilian vessels intentionally is “playing hard ball”? LOL

AngryGames Mar 30, 2026 +8
This one is easy. Because at its core, war is about economics. If Iran can force the economies of friendly to USA nations to suffer, those allies will not participate, and will encourage America to negotiate, cease fire, etc. They also can have the side effects of making economic suffering happen within America, which would bring about citizens demanding change (in a perfect world, anyway, not this bizzaro nonsense).  America and Israel are doing the same thing to Iran. They are as attention to cause economic suffering so that citizens will revolt and cause a regime change.  Problem is, Iran has the upper hand. They can cause far, far more economic harm to the rest of the world than America and Israel can cause to them (short of using nuclear, chemical, or biological weapons).

kye-qatxd-9156 Mar 30, 2026 +7
How did Iran provoke bombs from Israel and America again? Did you fall for the “we think they have wmds” bit again? And now our only real objective there is to reopen the strait they closed because… we bombed them? You do realize none of this shit was happening until the United States very obviously let it slip that they pretty much just bombed them because Israel wanted to? Lmfao. Dude I’m not like cheering Iran on, i just hate stupid people who think the US and their genocidal partner state are somehow good guys. Ffs

DEBob Mar 30, 2026 +11
You mean Iran, the country that funds so many terrorist groups in the Middle East they probably compete with every one else combined? Hezbollah, Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Houthis, and more. No, I can't imagine what Iran could have done to provoke anything. Edit: Israel even asked Trump to postpone attacks on Iran and Trump had already planned to attack but couldn't decide when. Israel did give him an excuse and reason though (many targets all in the same place).

I hear u but maybe this time they are right i mean they do have parades thru the streets with misslle launchers emblazoned with "Death to the USA " lol

Lots of blood and casualties. That said... .. it's crazy how susceptible to headlines this place is.... .... the US is setting Iran on fire currently and they have no answer to it. They hit another airfield yesterday for sure. They will continue to get some wins mixed in there. ....but currently they are being bombed heavily around the clock, during both night and daylight. And listnook kids are cheering, assuming one side isn't getting it far worse currently. Iran at one point not too long ago stretched its power from its border, throughout Iran, into and across Syria, up to Lebanon. It was able to fund and support Hezbollah from there, as well as Haams south of there. ... it all collapsed in the past 3 years (if nobody was watching) Now it's being bombed non stop and has no answer for it. But listnook assumes they're the only one able to hit the other guy.... .... no, makes sense.

beginner75 Mar 30, 2026 +5
How do you know the Listnook kids are real? They could well be bots.

Every single right wing podcaster needs to be contacted live on air and asked if they have enlisted and when they deploy. They are the patriotic alpha males who should be the first to sign or explain why they are not going to fight for their hero in this righteous no-a-war.
2
doorcharge Mar 30, 2026 +4
Americans crack me up. 20 years of war and you all got used to it. It was something you commented on in news threads or talked about over your lattes and then moved on with your bubble life. Watching it in 4K drone footage will do what? You will get used to it and you will continue to enjoy the privilege of imperialism while virtue signaling on social media, but will you all actually VOTE?
