> portraying Iran as a threat was "neither consistent with historical reality nor with present-day observable facts."
Suuuure. They created Shahed drones and sold them to Russia for its invasion of Ukraine but they're not a threat.

The fact that they fund terrorist groups whose only purpose is to destabilize the region and kill Israelis, along with pursuing nuclear weapons as a terrorist organization has to rank up there as well.

Make my words, the exhaustion and destruction of Iranian war resources used by Russia will end up tipping the Ukrainian war in Ukraines favor.

What do you know about the history of Iran and America?
1
Inevitable-Corgi-437Apr 1, 2026
+1
It's a very diplomatic way of saying that ordinary Americans are ok...because of course ordinary americans aren't conducting the affairs of state and at the forefront of global systems and order. The reality is that since 1979 and the takeover of the U.S Embassy in Tehran, Iran has conducted itself in animosity toward the United States with extreme fundamentalism and that long precedes the Trump administration. Countless U.S soldiers in Iraq were killed by IEDs directed by Iranian backed militia groups.

Iran isn't a serious threat because repeated bombing campaigns have prevented them from developing the atomic bomb. As displayed in this recent war when they fired at Diego Garcia, they now have IRBM, and are on the way to ICBMs.
This admin f****** sucks but letting an islamist government have nukes and ICBMs is a f****** awful idea and they should be prevented from achieving that.

Iran has carried out to its fullest capacity an anti american position on the global stage.
Why should we wait for them to be a "serious" threat before taking action?

Thats certainly a take. One i disagree with.
The regime overthrew a pro-west regime.
Then has had 40 years to get over it. Its nursing a grudge. The US has given Iran the equivalent of a slap on the wrist with an accompanying "stop that" for most of it.

Iran is a serious threat. If they were able to develop missiles that could threaten mainland america then it would be a very very serious situation.
That doesn't mean that the JCPOA wasn't a good start. And that it should've been followed up on and expand to include Iran's proxies and missile program

1

Yeah that's still unhinged. Sanctions = straight to "death to america"? No "we strongly dislike america!!" The reason for their hate is cultural and where they align vis-a-vis cold war era spheres of influence.

Over half the US voted in the Trump administration a second time knowing exactly what he would be like.
Your “enemies” are your neighbours, colleagues, and family.

“Over half the US” is not correct. Many Americans are ineligible to vote for various reasons. Some also *chose not to vote*, but personally I consider this action equally as wrong as a vote for Trump.
“More than half of Americans who voted” is correct.
1
fenikz13Apr 1, 2026

1
KingCroesusApr 1, 2026

Not really, of 264,789,961 eligible voters in 2024 as per election lab UOF, 77,302,580 voted for trump, more then 89mil didnt vote at all so 29.2% of americans voted in trump, still shockingly high. it was non-voters that ensured Trump is in power

Brilliant move. Don't get me wrong, Iran is an evil authoritarian regime. We don't want to see them as on "our side."
But its good politics. They know Trumps days are numbered. They know he's up for a tough couple of election cycles. They're doing everything they can to undermine him politically. This is how asymmetrical warfare is won. The dummies like Kegseth don't understand that all the expensive bombs and tech in the world can't win this kind of war.
