You can dislike the IRGC and the US admin simultaneously

We don’t like the guy either, Iran.

In a perfect world \*both\* governments would be in jail... how about that?

> portraying Iran as a threat was "neither consistent with historical reality nor with present-day observable facts." Suuuure. They created Shahed drones and sold them to Russia for its invasion of Ukraine but they're not a threat.

The fact that they fund terrorist groups whose only purpose is to destabilize the region and kill Israelis, along with pursuing nuclear weapons as a terrorist organization has to rank up there as well.

SpaceToaster Apr 1, 2026 +1
Make my words, the exhaustion and destruction of Iranian war resources used by Russia will end up tipping the Ukrainian war in Ukraines favor.

Elbit_Curt_Sedni Apr 1, 2026 +1
Wait until you hear about what our US gov sold and to who.
1
lembrar_de_mim Apr 1, 2026 +1
Out of everything you could pick, having a drone industry and selling it to allies is the most normal thing ever.

What about those decades of death to America parades ?

briancito Apr 1, 2026 +1
Sorry those were interns. So, we good again?

What do you know about the history of Iran and America?
1
Inevitable-Corgi-437 Apr 1, 2026 +1
It's a very diplomatic way of saying that ordinary Americans are ok...because of course ordinary americans aren't conducting the affairs of state and at the forefront of global systems and order. The reality is that since 1979 and the takeover of the U.S Embassy in Tehran, Iran has conducted itself in animosity toward the United States with extreme fundamentalism and that long precedes the Trump administration. Countless U.S soldiers in Iraq were killed by IEDs directed by Iranian backed militia groups.

Lots of Americans were killed in 1983 by Hezbollah too.
1
Andres_F1 Apr 1, 2026 +1
I’m not really gonna trust the government that chants “Death to America”
1
Lunaticonthegrass Apr 1, 2026 +1
Yeah calling america "big satan" and constantly calling for the "death to america" via massive propaganda posters and.. [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarkha](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarkha) oh yeah. Sure buddy
1
SureWouldForest Apr 1, 2026 +1
He's probably thinking "those idiots did conveniently 'forget' their own leader said no new wars, maybe they'll forget about the Satan thing."

Kranken_DeHogge Apr 1, 2026 +1
Iran is not a serious threat to the US people regardless of their slogans I don't want to pay for or die in this stupid ass war
1
LX_Luna Apr 1, 2026 +1
Iran isn't a serious threat because repeated bombing campaigns have prevented them from developing the atomic bomb. As displayed in this recent war when they fired at Diego Garcia, they now have IRBM, and are on the way to ICBMs. This admin f****** sucks but letting an islamist government have nukes and ICBMs is a f****** awful idea and they should be prevented from achieving that.
1
Kranken_DeHogge Apr 1, 2026 +1
here comes the weapons of mass destruction we have to go to war talk again
1
toeknn Apr 1, 2026 +1
Do you procrastinate often? Iran has carried out to its fullest capacity an anti american position on the global stage. Why should we wait for them to be a "serious" threat before taking action?
1
Kranken_DeHogge Apr 1, 2026 +1
this lazy rehashing of Bush-era propaganda isn't working on me, chief
1
toeknn Apr 1, 2026 +1
Didnt really answer the question.
1
uberclont Apr 1, 2026 +1
We were anti Iran before Iran was anti America.
1
84Cressida Apr 1, 2026 +1
Bull f****** shit. They were a close ally to us, then Khomeini took over and they took 52 of our diplomats hostage for 444 days.
1
toeknn Apr 1, 2026 +1
Thats certainly a take. One i disagree with. The regime overthrew a pro-west regime. Then has had 40 years to get over it. Its nursing a grudge. The US has given Iran the equivalent of a slap on the wrist with an accompanying "stop that" for most of it.
1
azgx00 Apr 1, 2026 +1
Don’t worry U ain’t going nowhere Stay on the couch

Lunaticonthegrass Apr 1, 2026 +1
Iran is a serious threat. If they were able to develop missiles that could threaten mainland america then it would be a very very serious situation. That doesn't mean that the JCPOA wasn't a good start. And that it should've been followed up on and expand to include Iran's proxies and missile program
1
The-cultured-swine39 Apr 1, 2026 +1
If we went and bombed every country that said fucked up shit about the united state, we would literally run out of bombs.
1
Repulsive-Party6267 Apr 1, 2026 +1
America did put sanctions on their oil business
1
Lunaticonthegrass Apr 1, 2026 +1
Yeah that's still unhinged. Sanctions = straight to "death to america"? No "we strongly dislike america!!" The reason for their hate is cultural and where they align vis-a-vis cold war era spheres of influence.

NosillaWilla Apr 1, 2026 +1
The enemy to the American people is the Trump administration
1
silverbolt2000 Apr 1, 2026 +1
Over half the US voted in the Trump administration a second time knowing exactly what he would be like. Your “enemies” are your neighbours, colleagues, and family.
1
locke_5 Apr 1, 2026 +1
“Over half the US” is not correct. Many Americans are ineligible to vote for various reasons. Some also *chose not to vote*, but personally I consider this action equally as wrong as a vote for Trump. “More than half of Americans who voted” is correct.
1
fenikz13 Apr 1, 2026 +1
That’s not even technically correct, only 49.8%
1
FantasticEmployment1 Apr 1, 2026 +1
How did you conflate "trump administration" with the people who voted for them? That's not very honest.
1
KingCroesus Apr 1, 2026 +1
Not really, of 264,789,961 eligible voters in 2024 as per election lab UOF, 77,302,580 voted for trump, more then 89mil didnt vote at all so 29.2% of americans voted in trump, still shockingly high. it was non-voters that ensured Trump is in power
1
magnament Apr 1, 2026 +1
Hey now, they’ll come around.
1
WadeMacNutt Apr 1, 2026 +1
Yup, he won the popular vote, Trump represents the current American spirit, greed and individualism.
1
Vegetable-Ad-9284 Apr 1, 2026 +1
He represented it at the time. There's context missing if you say the "peace president" waging war is exactly what people voted for. I mean he lied a whole lot and a bunch of idiots believed him. His agenda is not popular.
1
GfunkWarrior28 Apr 1, 2026 +1
Primarily the red states.
1
itsatumbleweed Apr 1, 2026 +1
Why the heck does this article not have the full letter?
1
IntelArtiGen Apr 1, 2026 +1
Because it's probably full of propaganda? And some journalists know better than to copy-paste the propaganda of a country during a war.
1
AirshipCanon Apr 1, 2026 +1
Some, not many, but some.
1
Optimoprimo Apr 1, 2026 +1
Brilliant move. Don't get me wrong, Iran is an evil authoritarian regime. We don't want to see them as on "our side." But its good politics. They know Trumps days are numbered. They know he's up for a tough couple of election cycles. They're doing everything they can to undermine him politically. This is how asymmetrical warfare is won. The dummies like Kegseth don't understand that all the expensive bombs and tech in the world can't win this kind of war.

SP1570 Apr 1, 2026 +1
Iran is aiming for regime change in the US
1
LX_Luna Apr 1, 2026 +1
And I have a bridge to sell.
1

Hey thanks, man. Means a lot to hear you say that.

Trump is the common enemy of all countries, including the US.

Man, I give up. This can’t be the main timeline anymore. Satire is impossible now.
1

Yeah, we don’t like Trump either…
1
nmonkey88 Apr 1, 2026 +1
Iran is our ally against Trump
1

If you see the Iranian regime as your ally you have some serious problems
