Is there a way to stream films in IMAX aspect ratios outside of theaters?

Posted by Downtown-Quarter4949

There are many films in my watch journey that I have either missed out on an IMAX release or just simply did not have any means to view it in that format at the time of its release. I am looking for any way to stream films that have an IMAX format. I know that sometimes 4K Ultra HD copies will have adjustable aspect ratios, but is there any other way outside of this? Any platforms to stream on with this kind of presentation? Thanks!

Some of the Marvel movies are available to stream in their IMAX presentation on Disney+, but I haven’t heard about any others. Big bummer, too, as I would love to see those releases more widely available.

It's crazy, Villeneuve even said he'd approved the IMAX blue ray cut of the first while promoting the second film. He thought it had been released. All I can think is they're gonna try to sell a whole trilogy pack maybe.

Production is surly going to go down, but no replacement exists. Streaming services are very low quality in comparison.

Sinners and interstellar both for sure do. As for where to stream them.. I use debrid and Stremio

Sinners and Interstellar have both a native 1.43 AR, which would look rather ridiculous in your TV. That "IMAX ENHANCED" label you get in some platforms is just a gimmick.
