Israel deliberately targeting medical facilities in south Lebanon, say health workers

They always have been. That's like the default thing they target.

How many war crimes do they have to commit before people realise they are on the wrong side of history?

Of course, if one tried to point out Israel's similar actions in Gaza, before January 20th, 2025, they were labled anti-semitic.

I mean if health workers on the ground are saying this is happening, then it’s impossible to pretend it’s just "collateral damage". At some point you have to call things what they really are. War crimes.

Not only does Israel intentionally target medical facilities, their use of a "Double Tap" strategy - where they attack the same location twice, to deliberately kill the arriving rescue workers and medical personal - is also systematic and has been used often in Gaza. I find it difficult to understand why poor Lebanon is not getting nearly as much attention as the gulf monarchies. Lebanon is in exactly the same position: not a direct party to the war, their only sin is that the Hezbollah has operations in its territory. And unlike the gulf monarchies in relation to the US, Lebanon is also actively opposed to Hezbollah. And Israel is waging an incredibly aggressive and reckless war on Lebanon, with the number of civilian casualties orders of magnitude more than those caused by Iran in its strikes on neighbouring countries with US bases, _combined_. In Lebanon, Israel is targeting hospitals, residential buildings, and infrastructure, killing thousands of people including children, and displaying millions. Whereas Iran, supposedly the "bad guys", are being _much_ more measured, only going after US bases first, US-linked facilities next, and escalating to oil infrastructure only recently after having been hit in similar fashion first. Why this double standard? Why is the world only concerned about the gulf countries while Lebanon is suffering much, much more?
