Israel's just reaping what it sowed, but if the Houthis decide to close the Bab al-Mandab Strait, then things get interesting.

I honestly expected the Houthis to go after those pipelines in Saudi Arabia and the shipping in the Red Sea first, so I guess the point instead is to have Israel start bombing Yemen on top of Iran and Lebanon and so badly overstretch its military, while maybe serving as a warning to Saudi Arabia (who is still pushing for the war). Either that, or the Houthis really, really wanted to participate in the war and attack Israel too and Iran can no longer stop them.

Seems like a planned escalation. Israel is running low on interceptors.

I’m not gonna definitively say whether they are or aren’t running low, but if they were do you think Israel would share that info with the world? I’ve been hearing for weeks that Israel is critically low on interceptors and yet I keep seeing videos of interceptions over Israel.

No they wouldn't. But keep in mind those interceptors cost $4 million a piece, and they can only produce 6-8 of them a month. Iran deploys $10,000 missiles and they can make 100's a month. Do the math

> Iran deploys $10,000 missiles and they can make 100's a month. Do the math You clearly didn't do the math on checking if a ballistic missile that can hit Israel from Iran can cost $10,000.

My apologies, I meant drone, as in shahed drone, which in fact costs $10,000

Today's estimate for c**** one are 20k. Upgraded 80k. It's Never mind it was missile.

LivingtheLaws013 Mar 28, 2026 +1
Ok so how are $4 million pac missiles guna stop 20k drones at any reasonable rate?

Business_Concert_142 Mar 28, 2026 +2
No chance a ballistic missile costs $10,000( I’ve seen quotes that range from 120,000-4 mil). Not to mention their ability to manufacture missiles has definitely taken a hit amid continued airstrikes.

LivingtheLaws013 Mar 28, 2026 +5
They have missile cities underground (even according to western media) where they produce them and launch them from. You're not penetrating under 1km of granite mountain. Even at 120,000 a piece that's still a big economic difference

Do you have a source for this? I work at Offut and we don't have any information on that.

Why couldn't the Saudi military conquer Yemen?
