It is very hard to call it "ceasefire progress" when Israel is literally announcing the next round of escalation.

I mean the only reason the US isnt saying the same is because Trump is also doing market manipulation and saying negotiations are being begged for. Yet we also see reports about additional troops being sent every few days or that drunk fuckhead saying we arent stopping until we obliterate " the enemy" ect. Its all theatrics and smokescreens.

Unfortunately trump misread the iran play from the start he seemed to genuinely believed in killed the top and work with the second but that didnt work here since for the regime this is an existential conflict and America and Israel have broken their deals several times. Clearly we should have left well enough alone even if it meant more suffering for the Iranian people.
But now we're here. He knows its fucked we know its fucked and you know where we really are? We're right where we were pre covid. Layoffs mounting, cost of living high, and trump desperately trying to contain the damage until the pot boils over. The only way this ends is if trump just goes "F*** it. We're out.". Which he cant do because it will show a clear loss, bruise his ego, and weaken the republicans for the midterms.
The iranian side meanwhile is overjoyed by trump's weakness. Who knows maybe if we had a mute president they would have capitulated on the hopes of getting amnesty. But now? They either die by bombs, get hung for what they did in january, or survive through with the most demoralizing blow to the iranian people since the revolution.

The goals of Israel and the goals of Trump aren't in alignment. They probably weren't from the beginning but lately Trump is scared fuckless that he done messed up the midterms by spiking gas prices. He's desperate to get the Strait of Hormuz flowing again. Isreal on the other hand is still focused on stamping out as much capability as possible. They want to cripple Iran for as long as possible.

as we've seen, the two partners in this stupid war not only aren't on the same page, they don't even seem to be in the same book.

Because they aren't partners. Israel is in control and Trump is their lapdog.

Nah.
Thats conspiracy minded c***.
Israel(and some of the Gulfers) want the revolutionary islamist republic overthrown, because it is an existential threat, ideologically.
America wants them weakened hard, so they are harmless, and their fleet can focus on East Asia.
East Asia just wants oil and/or f*** China.
The EU classifies the IRGC as terrorists and are hoping they get overthrown, but also wants oil to not spike too hard.
Russia doesnt want CRINK's remaining middle eastern partner to end up like Assad, but arent complaining russian oil is now expensive and less sanctioned.
China is helping their ally, but not too much.

Trump got conned by another more intelligent conman now he’s stewing in his shit-filled diaper trying to claw his way out of a war he thought would be over in a day.

Yep, the US pretty much wants a permanent end to the nuclear program while Israel wants, Iran to completely collapse

This is like every bank robbery movie where there Is a loose cannon with the crew and the leader doesn't know what to do anymore.
